A small village in Malappuram district of Kerala, Kodinhi is mysterious and the reason is an unusually large and unexplained number of twin births which are regularly reported here. Also known as ‘The Village Of Twine’, Kodinhi has over 200 pairs of twins. Another interesting thing is that women from these village even if they are married outside the village have twins. 


2. Roopkund, Uttarakhand - The Skeleton Lake


Next on the list of mysterious places in India is the Skeleton Lake in Roopkund, Uttarakhand. As the ice melts in Roopkund, situated at a height of 16,500 feet, hundreds of human skeletons are seen floating in the lake. The lake was rediscovered in the year 1942 by a forest ranger and since then the lake has been mysterious. If mystery evokes the thrill in you, visit this lake and maybe try solving the skeleton riddle. 


3. Jatinga, Assam - Where Birds Commit Suicide


This even sounds absurd. We know! Birds committing suicide seems impossible of a thing but in this small village in Assam, it does happen. Right after sunset, hundreds of migratory birds commit mass suicide here in the monsoon months.


4.  Bhangarh Fort, Rajasthan - The Most Haunted Place In India
