by Kosher River Cruise Kosher Tour Operator

Whether you're on kosher travel or vacation, you should consider taking the time to visit some synagogues during your trip. Here are some of the most spectacular and beautiful synagogues which should be on your list that you have to visit while kosher touring.

Synagogue

Eldridge Street Synagogue

The Eldridge Street Synagogue is located in New York and was designed by architects Francis and Peter Herter. It depicts a mixture of Moorish Revival architecture, romanesque architecture, and gothic architecture style. The interior of the synagogue features beautiful stained glass windows that make the synagogue much more breathtaking and magical. The Eldridge Street Synagogue still stands today as a beautiful reminder of Jewish history and culture in America.

Synagogue Santa María La Blanca

If you’re visiting Toledo, Spain, you have to visit the Synagogue of Saint Mary The White. The building was originally built in 1180 making it one of the oldest buildings in Toledo. The synagogue was designed by Mudejar architects and has Islamic influences. The elegant white halls have horseshoe-shaped arches, which are characteristic of Moorish style architecture. It has been well-maintained and restored over the years by local residents who continue to use it as a place of worship today.

Subotica Synagogue

Subotica Synagogue is one of the most beautiful synagogues around the world. It was built in 1902 in the Hungarian Art Nouveau style, and it's located in Subotica, Serbia. Subotica Synagogue is truly unique. Not only does its architecture make it stand out from other buildings in town (with its intricate designs), but it also incorporates many different styles into its design—including Moorish and Byzantine elements—to create an eclectic feel that captures the imagination of anyone who sees it!

Jubilee Synagogue

The building itself is a stunning example of Art Nouveau and Moorish Revival architecture with intricate patterns on both the exterior and interior walls designed by Wilhelm Stiassny. The Jubilee Synagogue is located in Prague, Czech Republic, it's also known as the Jerusalem Synagogue and was built in 1906. It’s a great synagogue to visit during Jewish heritage tours since not only is it nice to look at but it also holds a great deal of Jewish history.
