I like beautiful girls, the real ones

by Philippe Moisan Tutorial videos, sci-fi writer
I am a man. A "normal" man.

What I mean by that is, I enjoy seeing a beautiful woman. It doesn't mean I want to have an affair with every beautiful woman out there. Well, yes it does, but that's another story. LOL

Seriously, my point is, there are many beautiful women in online marketing and networking. That's a nice bonus for us guys.

However, what I find ridiculous, and we see  way too many of that at APSense, is the girls who use pictures of gorgeous actresses instead of their own.

Are you ashamed of your looks? Or do you believe it will help you build your business in the long run?

The answer to the 2nd question, in my opinion, is a resounding NO.

For instance, one member uses a picture of Natalie Portman. As if nobody knew who Natalie is around the world. After all, only a few people have seen Star Wars movies, right?

One other member posts tons of articles on stuff she wants to sell. She uses a picture of Madonna.

A few months ago, there was a beautiful member. I told her a couple of times how pretty I found her. Until a member from her country told me her first name is that of a man, and the picture was from a well known actress of that country.

I told "her". He was upset that I was criticitizing the choice of picture. He chose a new one, of another woman. :(

Lately, I have seen a member use the same picture for many different accounts. Thanks to the level I've reached, I refuse those pictures every time. The worst thing is, that person uses many accounts instead of one. Not ethical at all.

Think of the long term consequences of your choice. To build your business efficiently, you will register at many sites, not just APSense. I use the same picture everywhere ( and username ). People recognize me at those places and send contact requests when they like me.

How do you deal with it? I know, there are tons of pictures for the same actress, any actress, if you choose to continue your practice. The thing is, somewhere, somehow, other people will tell you to use your personal picture. Some will say it in public comments. It could be embarassing and hurt your business.

Why take that chance?

Bottom line: The real you works better than the pictures of other people. After all, it is you that you are branding and not the "hot" actresses, actors or musicians who have already branded themselves.

I think it better for one to use a picture of a cartoon if at all one does not want to use his/her picture. It is no fair to use someone's picture. What if the owner knows?

Lu, I have no idea. I hope it is :)

Jephita, a cartoon, a picture of nature, anything other than a personal picture is not really a better idea than an actor picture, in my opinion. We have to think long term, to brand ourselves the best way possible, we will get better results in the long run.

Excellent points Philippe. This business is about perception of brand. Too often people put short term gain ahead of long term business building principles. A face is a face is a face. Yes I like pretty women too, and I confess to taking a 2nd loo occasionally:-) but the truth is that my business as is yours as is many others is much more than my face (thank God for that). Its about what we represent. Put someone else's face there and what do you represent? A lie up front. Not a great way to do business

It's a very excellent point you are opening the eyes to see Philipe there are too many people out there that use pictures that is not there... As was mention in the article we have to think of the long term consequences of our actions.....

Yet another article that now meets the new articles specifications at APSense, i.e. 150 words minimum, and branding tags

The greatest obstacle to progress is lack of self-belief says Ben Carson. Why should feel 'a shame' putting his/her photo? It mean they neither like themselves nor belief in themselves.
@Phil,even men are also doing too!

I know, Malok, there's an actor from India who has his pictures all over the place :)

No offense to members from India, and especially not to my friends Mohann and Prabo. it's just that I noticed it so often. Not lately, though

Maybe we may pass this words to our downline because we have influence over them. Some sites don't mine with members ethic and etiquettes.I think people have to learn how to 'fit' here or find elsewhere that suit their things.

Three things occur to me - They look at themselves in the mirror, and dont like what they see. They are frightenedthat the tax man puts two and two together. They are not ethical and there program is a scam - this is what I would think.and would certainly not put any trust in them.
