SEO with facebook fan page

Facebook fan page is very effective for SEO. Not for getting backlink for your website but for getting traffic from search engines through the FB fanpage itself. Let me explain.

I created two fan pages on facebook. When I have got the chance to set custom URL (you need minimum 25 fans to set custom URL for your FB fan page) I choose name with my target keywords in the URL. To my great surprise, both of the fanpages are on google first page for that particular keyword phrase. I have done any SEO for the pages. One of my fanpage is  http://www.facebook.com/FreeClassifiedForum  which is on google first page for Free Classified Forum.  My other fanpage is on google first page (#8) for Online advertising service.

So create a fanpage for your business. Gather 25 fans. Now choose a keyword rich URL and post regularly ( or at least occasionally). See the magic.

Post only relevant contents. Allow other people to post only relevant contents. Delete non-relevant contents.

@jasna sato: SEO means Search Engine Optimization. Basically you optimize you webpages so that those appears on search results for your desired keywords on major search engines like google, yahoo, bing.

Nice article Enam, As per my knowledge, you can get the many visitors for your site with the Facebook fan page but you have to write some good article and blogs in it and put your website link in it and create as many friends you can.
