Tips to get more clicks on a PTC ad
These tips are for advertisers who put ads on PTC sites.
Know your audience
This is more a gut feeling at this point than verifiable information, since I don't have much experience as an advertiser on a PTC site.
PTC sites usually pay $0.01 per click. PTC members choose the free membership level in many cases, I guess. Which means they can click on 4 ads a day on most sites. So, at the end of the month, it's not a fortune. Considering it takes from 20 to 30 seconds per click, it's not very time consuming.
My point is, I believe that if you advertise products or services that cost a lot, either you won't get many clicks or you won't get many sign-ups. I think it's preferable to promote something that is free or cost only a few dollars and hope the person will want more after some time.
Write compelling ads
Now this comes from experience. Not years, only a week, but still...
If you write an ad where you simply name the product and expect its reputation will help you close the sale, think again. Seeing ad written like this:
ClickBank Speed
Good Sales System
Note: This is not a real example. If there's a product called ClickBank speed, I apologize to its creators. The example came from my mind.
Pretty boring, right? I mean, there are hundreds of marketers who promote Clickbank products every day. You might get clicks, but it will take longer to get the number of clicks you bought for the ad.
A few days ago, I put an ad on Wiki-Clix. Here it is:
Because Viral Is Better => Viral Traffic Rush Advertising's New Secret Weapon
Traffic and Cash Like It Was Meant To Be! 1 Million Member Ads Viewed Every Day!
Now, did I use a lot of imagination to write it? Not at all. All the words come from the site I promote. I just chose how to present it in a way that I felt would be exciting.
There are ads at Wiki-Clix that have been there since the beginning, 2 weeks ago, around April 29. Mine was posted 4 days ago. There are now more clicks on my ad than on any other.
Granted, the site is new, and there is not a big choice of ads to choose from yet. I'm not saying I am a master copywriter. But it is easy to write better ads, especially when you really believe in what you promote.
Don't click on your own ads
This one should be obvious, but I prefer to mention it. The reason not to click on your own ads on a PTC site is that, well, you'll be paid for clicking on it, but you want your ad to be seen by as many people as possible, so if you click a few times on it during the week, you leave money on the table.

ok, then next time, simply copy the comment in notepad, edit it there, delete the comment in the article and post a new one, it's the only way to correct a mistake, not that yours was a big one, just not clear :)

I wrote "RTS website.." instead of "PTC website".(RTS is a little different). :)

Wonderful piece of article there Philippe, surely a little bit of care and attention paid while choosing right words for any ad does make a lot of difference in form of more clicks and also building up the trust when the ad proves to be rightly suitable to the content prevalent for such a site that is being advertised in the first place.
Suggestion: We need to let the audience be aware that Wiki-Clix = has nothing in common with Wiki Leaks :) yet one can trust the word Wiki to deliver, so one

Thanks for your feedback, Andrey. I don't understand the 2nd comment, though.

Good article Philippe!!For the RTS website referrals needed and this depends on your earnings, alone will not earn! And about the ads correctly, it should be short and at the same time give information to interest people!
