Hello Marvin! That's a very important question you have here.I believe that we should work in what gives us pleasure. But that's a privilege that many can't afford. So if we achieve it we should be so thankfull. I gave up jobs in my academic background long time ago because they made me feel quite miserable. Then accepted anything I could work on just to pay my bills. But once I got unemployed and while looking for opportunities I started pursueing my dream-earning a living writing and drawing. It's hard and my future is uncertain. But it's my true call and I am happy.

I have been lucky the majority of my working life I have actually done what I enjoyed even when working for someone else. I can say from experience there is a big difference in forcing yourself to go to a job you hate and looking forward to going to a job you love.

What I do know grew out of 12 years with a job that I absolutely adored, it was simply another step forward.

I repeat so often that it was easy for me to establish my definite Major Life Purpose (Enjoying FREEDOM and Helping Others) after reading Think and Grow Rich in 1960. Sharing that book, in text and Audio, with 1,000's has been rewarding when I hear of their successes.
So I feel blessed on-line and off-line form the ease of finding happiness
From Belinha..."But that's a privilege that many can't afford" Affording anything is a mindset. In most of the FREE WORLD sustenance is not difficult.

Pursuing your passions and dreams is easy if on is willing to "Not Want it All Now"

Congratulation to you following your heart and with your passion you will enjoy success>
I am sure you have invested Time and Energy in a detailed Plan of Action, with dates and avlues.

Hey Chuck;
I have 3 boys and 1 step daughter; two of the boys have graduated high school - one more to go as well as my step daughter. The one thing they all either have or will receive upon graduation is;
"Think and Grow Rich" - I first read it when I was about 21 - BUT didn't grab the whole concept until later in life. - it's a winner!

If you love what you do you can't call it work
So your right Corey... it is very important to follow your passion.
I think that Think and Grow Rich should be required reading

I think it would have been more beneficial to me than..
To Kill A Mocking Bird
Great Expectations
Lord of the Flies (is that the name about those Kids on an Island)
See what an impression that made on me.... reminds me of that silly show Survivor

Thanks for the post Marvin
