How to get invited to write a blog post
by Philippe Moisan Tutorial videos, sci-fi writerUpdate : I created a group called Guest Blogging
I looked at it, saw a typo, made a suggestion. She appreciated it.
Next, I told her I had written a new post on my Internet Marketing from the Heart blog. By the way, it's the "Hocus Pocus ? No. Focus" post.
She liked my post. She asked me if I wanted to post it on one of her blogs.
I of course was delighted. I accepted at once. :)
What's more, she gave me access to her blog so that I could post it myself. Which I did.
There you go. I posted on someone else's blog.
It must be said that we have a very good relationship, me and her. I trust her, she trusts me.
In the fast few days, I did something related to that. I asked permission to another member to take an article she had written and post it on one of my blogs. There was a video in her article, I loved it.
She accepted immediately upon receiving the PM I had sent to her.
You can see the result here. I won''t tell you who the member is. I'll let you find out for yourself.
Just to let you know, there are more ideas where that one came from. Join the Creative Marketing group and contribute your own awesome ideas. :)
Of course, there is the issue of trust. For that, I invite you to tell the person to use Windows Live Writer to post on your blog. WLW is a delight to use.
Here's info on how to install WLW
Here's a video I made on how to use WLW

I love network and relationship marketing. We help each other cross-post in APSense, stumble, other's blogs, etc. If yoiu see an article that you think is appropriate to be cross-posted contact the member and suggest it. With the bizziness of today, they might not have seen the connection. They may also run in a different circle of relationship marketing. Let's increase our efforts in creative, relationship and network marketing. Jan 26th 2011 09:54 |

Nice Idea. But allowing access to your blog in my opinion is not a good idea. But what do I know! Cindy Jan 26th 2011 10:01 |

I agree with Cindy. What I do is write a comment related to the topic. Also good for back links Jan 26th 2011 10:05 |

@Paula I wondered if the idea was good for backlogs. Thank you for answering my question before I asked it. Jan 26th 2011 10:21 |

It depends, Cindy. As I said, the person trusts me. Of course, you can remove the access permission once the post is done. If something bad happens, well, you just discovered you can't trust that person. In my case, I let the emotions run their course, I delete all references to that person in everything I do, and move on. It's not like I gave access to my bank accounts. Not much can happen when giving access to your blog, IMO. Also, you can limit access, you don't have to give admin access, if it is possible. Jan 26th 2011 10:24 |

There are different levels of access that can be granted. Guest posting on others blogs, is a great way to get back links and exposure, both ways. A guest poster does not have to have full access, they can be granted post privilege only, without mass editing privileges. Jan 26th 2011 10:40 |

@linkMommy Of all the posts to SPAM on this should not be one of them. May I suggest you remove it otherwise you will be reported. Why is it so hard for people to get that very simple concept? When there are so many other ways to market and get your point across here at APSense Still wouldn't do it. I will just be happy with comments and commenting. Call be old fashion and perhaps a bit in the dark ages but... I still wouldn't allow access Cindy Jan 26th 2011 10:50 |

@LinkMommy, you've been reported for abuse. Advertising with or without a link is an abuse at APSense when commenting in someone else's article. Or RevPage. Or anywhere your ad tries to steal the spotlight from the legitimate effort of someone else. Jan 26th 2011 10:51 |

I guess we need someone to run around to all the discussion and be a spam kop. I know that may not stop it all, but it might decrease, once people got the hint we weren't going to tolerate that behavior. Meantime, excellent article Philippe. I'm going to put it practice. I am already branded so let's see if I can get backlinks. My domain goes up this weekend. Jan 26th 2011 13:50 |
