One of the BIGGEST mistakes

by James Bonham tweetsmaster
I see people making in Network Marketing is the VAST overlooking of where the REAL long term money comes from.

You see, most people get in network marketing and all they think about is: "I want money now!" They think that now - now - NOW is the time when they are supposed to create success... yet overlook how all the REAL money is made.

Honestly, if you're doing things right in this industry, then you will be making TONS of friends. You will be forming some of the best friendships of your life, you will LOVE the hordes of new people you're meeting, you will have an ever increasing network, and in the end game... you'll be making a Boat-Load of Money. That's what happens when you do things right in this industry.

I`ve made friends, formed business partnerships, and networked with people I can honestly say I now LOVE. And not just a few, there are a BUNCH of people that I've met online who I think are some of the greatest people I've ever been privileged to know. I cherish the FRIENDSHIPS more than the massive success we create by being business partners.

And if I was focused on just "money - money ? NOW!", I might have missed out on the true rewards our industry offers. It`s the power of teams and relationships that we`re talking about here, and ResidualQuik is the incredible business model for our industry that fosters and preserves these relationships for a lifetime. Hi there, you are so true. Many people don't realize that on the Internet, at the start there is really no trust. We have to build trust through networking, email and even sometimes phone calls. I believe in today's Internet marketing there must be some trust to succeed and also avoid scams.

This fits right in with what I consider the true path to success, when you can stop asking, "How can I make more money?" and start looking for, "What can I learn so I can help more people?" so you can watch the money take care of itself.

I do agree with both Tony and Oldbuddy, where to avoid scams and scammers

It pays to make friends and not just try to sell something to people whenever and wherever. Look for something from within you to give to others and you will have what you want in return.

Therefore, give to build up friendships and associations.

You are soo right! I have met so many wonderful friends marketing online. I was just telling someone that You do not market a product or program, You market "yourself". Getting to know and help people to achieve their goals, instead of pushing a product is way more advantageous in the long run. Whether they end up joining your program is unimportant. Some of my best internet friends are not in my downline.(but most of them are) LOL

Laura, you just made me smile with (both most of them are). I don't know why, but somehow, I believe you. I hope you get into my downline for some of the programs I'm in. :)

The best way to get my attention and interest in your product or program is to call me on the phone. As in the article listed here in this post, its best to get to know a person. I find that talking on the phone creates a true sense of the person. Obviously we cant meet everyone in person, so the next best thing is a phone call. I will take a look at your programs though Philippe. ;)

Every day most purchases are made because of Decision to BUY form a Person, not a Company. Even grocery shopping. I only spend my money where I am recognized.
The internet affords and opportunity to meet a lot of people...
But it is in the follow through and expression of sincerity that ultimately develops the solid Realtionship

So true. I'm most likely to look at, or join a program that is recommended by one of my online friends. This is because I know that if I have questions I can always ask, or shoot them an email without worrying about whether or not I'll get a response. Good points! ;0)

@Genesis, "if I have questions I can always ask, or shoot them an email without worrying about whether or not I'll get a response" that's a very good point. It seems obvious, but I'm sure it's not for everyone. I'll remember your comment.

This blog here, plus the good points added by Laura, Genesis, and others, I realized it's worth a tweet and a share on FB. :)

Yes, networking and making friends is the key. I get much response from the members from my group APSense 4 Newbies. it is nice this group is becoming popular. But sometimes scary too. I have received emails asking me to be their Guru. That is not what I want to be. I will give people general advise and tips but I do not want to be responsible for their succes.

"Guru" is not the right word to use nowadays. However, I do understand why people are inspired by your efforts, Paula. I am too, I've learned many things from you, things that really make a difference.

Another proof that helping others and making friends works. I have been elected as business expert for this week by the group Business Round Table!

I heartily agree with you James! Everyone is leading with their gotta have, super duper, make a fortune biz opp instead of trying to find out how they can be of value to people.

Start giving first and helping others and the money will take care of itself. It's not anyone's fault, that's just how most new marketers are taught.

Thanks James!
