Three Copywriting Secrets to Influence People
by Dario Montes de Oca ExtremeWhen you are presenting your product with your copy, do your best to make the offer hard to resist. Your loving your product is not going to be enough reason for your prospect to buy it. A prospective buyer needs a strong reason to spend money with you. In addition to creating a unique selling point for the product that you have chosen is not all there is to standing out from the competition; writing good sales copy also matters. The best offer is one that can't be denied. If you have a very strong offer in your copy, it will be easier to get people to buy from you.
Be creative and you'll do fine: one tried and true method of this, however, is the giving away of bonus products with your own chosen saleable item. Don't make the mistake some writers make and over hype your product--doing that could end up disappointing your customers when they do actually open up the products that you are selling. Your product presentation needs to be as honest and as transparent as you can possibly make it. It is okay to be open to changes of every stripe when they find their way to you: don't let yourself be too restricted. You should always be thinking about improving.
Your headline is perhaps the most important part of your copy. This is one skill that will take you a long way.
A good headline is essential if you want people to respond to your copy. Before anyone sees the body of your copy, they are going to see the headline. You must make your headline interesting if you want the prospect to continue reading. So it always makes sense to spend time on the headline and make sure it's right. Don't just depend on one headline, create multiple ones and test them out, you never know which one of them performs better. Regular testing is the only way you can know which headline gives you the best results. If you notice that a certain campaign isn't bringing you the results you want, try changing the headline and see if this helps. You'll get higher conversions the more effort you put into creating good headlines. Any headline that works well for you can be used as an inspiration when you do headlines for other sales copy. You can create a swap file that contains your most effective headlines that you use for all your sales copy.
Write your copy in such a way that the prospect's interest doesn't fade off. Try not to make your copy sound too serious; using humor is a great way to win over customers. The idea is to find a balancing point between serious information and light hearted humor. But ultimately, your aim is to get them to take action, so that's where you lead them to. To summarize: copywriting is pretty much only common sense that helps buyers make decisions. Employ the above tips when writing your copy and see better results.
