Newbie Marketing Tips

One of the biggest misconceptions that many distributors that are new to internet network marketing is that by using the power of the internet they can put into place a system that will recruit their prospects into the business for them.

While there are a number of areas that the internet can automate your internet based network marketing business, recruiting isn't one of them.

Here is One Way Internet Marketing is Merging With Network Marketing

The internet is a great tool to market your funded proposal. You can get a number of prospects to sign up and spend money on your funded proposal without ever having to speak to those prospects. In fact, many of those prospects are going to make this purchase without needing to speak to you.

However, the internet does a poor job at recruiting a new distributor into your organization. This is a people to people business and if you want to recruit a new distributor, you need to make sure that you spend some time speaking to that person.

In fact, you shouldn't want it any other way. Recruiting is a two way street. Not only is the prospect evaluating your opportunity, but you should also be evaluating the prospect to see if this is a person that is worth investing your time.

One of the reasons why many distributors get frustrated and quit is because they do a poor job at evaluating their prospects, get happy they finally recruited somebody and then get upset because that person didn't do anything.

The purpose of the internet is to set up a system that allows you to market to large numbers of prospects at one time. The purpose of this marketing isn't to recruit them. The purpose of this marketing is to put these prospects into a position where you can contact them (or they you) at some point in the future about your opportunity.

Maximize Your Recruiting Efforts - Pick Up the Phone

What about these systems that promise that all you have to do is sign up for their internet marketing system and the system will automatically recruit prospects for you?

While theoretically, you could recruit someone into a network marketing business [http://www.marketingmerge.com/network-marketing/success-tips.asp#1] without ever speaking to them, the amount of leads that you would have to generate in order to get that kind of response is immense.

Most distributors simply don't have the financial resources to generate enough leads to constantly recruit people into their business every single month if they simply relied on an auto responder to do the recruiting. Therefore you are going to have to match your auto responder contact with phone or in person contacts to maximize your recruiting efforts. Always remember, the internet will not recruit them for you. You must do the recruiting yourself.
