Kangaroos don't make money, people do
by Paula van Dun TE Owner & Graphic DesignerEvery day I receive tons of emails with new exciting offers: become a member, refer 3 and you can retire. And that is the problem, getting (and keeping) the referrals. Even when they sign up under you, when they drop out after a few weeks they are of no use to you.
To be honest, I tried this too when I started. Many offers sounded promising and tempting. The result was that most of the things I signed up for got zero referrals and some of them even did cost me money to join. I do not think this path is very different for the most of you. However I am getting some results now with some smaller lists using provocative subject lines.
Why are you trying on-line business? My guess is the most of you do not want to quit their day job (if you have one) or buy a Ferrari but that most of you are trying to earn some extra money to pay the bills.
I was lucky to stumble on some good E-books for 5 dollar each but the best 5 dollars a have spent so far. I would have found that info probably for free elsewhere as I know now. However it prevented me from making more beginner mistakes and wasting more time and money. For one it thought me to be cautious and to really think things over. Is it really a good program?
One of the things I learned is to decide for only a few good programs and stick to it. Good programs are programs that offer real products or services and/or provide possibilities for a stacked income. Other things you need is advertising, the reason why I got involved on several networks where entrepreneurs basically have unlimited free advertising.
I also use TEs and Safelists to build multiple income streams for several solid bizz ops in the downline builders. In TEs I funnel all my traffic to Surf-Bar-Traffic and the SBT Coffee Mug themed downline builder; instead of promoting all opps in all exchanges which saves me lots of time and allows me to spend more time on making connections and writing articles and stuff. For safelist marketing I use MySafelistBiz to build downlines in safelistst and easy management.
Surfing TE's is good also if you do it the right way, if you are doing it wrong it is a waste of time. TEs are great to promote online opportunities and for branding.
It is best to use splash graphics branded with your picture, when possible custom designed so that they stand out from others promoting the same. I have a graphic design service Webmiep Graphics and I can design these for you at affordable prices. However you should not rely on TEs and safelists only to build your business.
In addition in order to get quality targeted traffic you must engage on social media, write articles and blogs. Make sure your profile is the best it can be everywhere and use the same profile picture everywhere.
The best business Networks and Tools I can recommend are APSense, Pinterest, and for heavy surfers TECommandPost. All are free to join, however provide more benefits, features and affiliate commissions when upgraded. PinOpps Pro offers a lot of value for your buck, to mention one you can create unlimited WP based blogs.
In order to succeed you must be willing to invest both money and time to succeed. I am well aware that many start out with very limited funds, or none at all. You can get leads from free sources but remember they are not really free since you need to invest time in earning credits. You may want to consider using an Advertising Co-op.
I recommend The Marketers Co-op that has marketing plans for every budget starting at $50,-/month. This basic plan guarantees over 100 page views daily through Traffic Exchanges and safe lists. The more expensive plans also include high quality traffic through social marketing, article marketing and press releases.
So invest both time and budget wisely promoting your own business or a solid legitimate opportunity and you can succeed with internet business. So make a decision and stick to it.
However if you haven been working consistent for a longer period for a certain program (I am talking years now) and you still don't see significant results, it may be wiser to re-evaluate your decision to join that particular program.

TE Owner & Graphic DesignerMeanwhile I have narrowed my programs down to 3 that i actively promote. My favorite is the one of my signature which enables me to share revenue from other Kooiii programs as well. This allows me to spend less time spending on earning credits and surfing TE's and more time to find prospects through other ways. Jan 2nd 2011 04:24 |

consultantdoing it right the first time and all the time (avoiding mistakes and wasting time) is a great avenue to success. If you makes mistakes learn from and move forward. Fear of failure and not trying place us on a loosing end. There is nothing wrong with program hopping, if its not working for you after spending money and working right and working hard for it, then you know its time to leave it. And try another. This time be careful and watchful. The passion to learn,to grow and to win is a truly a champion's attitude that greatly contributes to success. A little help from friends and powerful prayer goes a long long way. Cheers! Jan 3rd 2011 03:45 |

Build & Propel Your BrandInteresting write-up. I think any good advertising business model will make it in the long-run since many Netrepreneurs are seeking ways to drive quality traffic to their sites. Feb 28th 2011 17:55 |

Procurement OfficerHi Paula, You 're right! Any internet marketer should stick to only a few good programs that are working! The tendency of signing up for many programs finally get you nowhere and thus an ultimate failure.. Mar 2nd 2011 06:46 |
