Changes to Google spam filter rules
In case you haven't noticed, Google has made changes to their spam
filters, causing many, many emails to go directly to the junk folder.
Since most people use gmail, you are going to have to be very original in writing
your emails if you want your ads to be seen. Here are a few tips:
1. DON'T use flagged words. I can't tell you those words here, because
then you'd never see this email, as it would not make it to your inbox.
But, common sense prevails here.
You should know the "magic words" by now.
2. To receive messages correctly, create filters and labels in your gmail account.
This helps enormously!
3. Do not copy and paste emails written by the programs your promoting.
Typically, these contains tons of magic words. You should write your own
ads, being careful to not use words which will be flagged.
4. Keep your ads short. The fewer the words in the ad, the less likely
that the email will go to the junk folder.
5. DON'T use dollar signs in the subject line! Your email will never be seen.
Instead, replace the symbol with words. For ex: 5.00; 5 Bucks; etc.
6. If you have links in your email, be sure that domain isn't blacklisted.
If it is, use a link shortener, like tinyurl, or similar.
Of course solo ads should never had links anyway.
7. Send test mails to yourself before sending out the real thing.
8. Do some further research on how to keep your email out of junk folders.
Well, I hope these tips help you to get your ads seen.
Remember, be original, and avoid those "special" words!
