Facts sent by Camille Smith, product Support specialist regarding the concern about statements made by other companies regarding the Mangosteen and Xango too.
All companies are going to try and market their product to their advantage. That is the nature of business. It is common for us to hear how other companies have compared our product with theirs and of course their results will be in their favor. Generally, we do not respond to others comparisons but there are some facts that are indisputable that can help clear up any confusion when it comes to comparisons or claims being made by others.
XanGo juice is the only company that uses 100% of the mangosteen fruit, that includes the rind (pericarp) of the fruit. Generally when others claim to use the entire fruit they are referencing the white pulpy fruit in the middle. When they claim to be using the pericarp they are generally referencing scraping taken from the inside of the rind or extracts of the pericarp which provides only alpha mangostin. XanGo juice has no added sugar. There is 2.7g of sugar per ounce of Mangosteen juice, making it a safe product to incorporate into a healthy diet for both type 1 and type 2 diabetics as any fruit juice can be incorporated by being cautious about the sugar content in other foods consumed. XanGo Juice has not been shown to adversely affect insulin or sugar levels in any way.
The mangosteen fruit contains 40 known xanthones, the majority of those being found in the pericarp. When it comes to arguments about the xanthone potency of capsules verses juice; it is important to note that the use of the entire fruit is always going to be better than using select parts of the fruit. When converting the mangosteen fruit into capsule form it is impossible to get the entire fruit into capsule that can only hold 400-600 milligrams. In studies that have been performed it has been revealed that more is not necessarily better as our bodies peak at a certain amount. When that limit has been reached the xanthones no longer have the effect that they had while consuming lesser amounts.  We deliver efficacious doses of xanthones that we know are absorbed and utilized by the body. That is way we recommend 1-3 oz periodically throughout the day. In a study we are expecting to be published in the near future, we have found that the xanthones are being found in the blood stream of test subjects consuming XanGo juice. We are the first and only company to have these results.

XanGo juice is grown and harvested in South East Asia. It is completely free of any pesticides as they are not necessary due to the bitter taste of the pericarp. Which is why we have additional fruit juices added with our Mangosteen. XanGo Juice has no added vitamins and minerals. For us to claim any of the vitamins and minerals that come from the additional natural fruit juices we would have to fortify with them solidifying a consistent count, batch to batch. We do not fortify our juice with any of these added vitamins and minerals as we are all about the xanthones/antioxidants. The mangosteen fruit is not certified organic and cannot be, as there are different regulations for organic certification in South East Asia then there are in the United States. Please be assured that there are absolutely no pesticides or toxins found in XanGo juice. Vigorous tests are ran on each batch to guarantee the quality..
Irradiation is a common form of "cleaning" fresh fruits and vegetables when being brought into the United States. Due to the natural processes that XanGo uses to harvest and import the whole fruit puree of the mangosteen, it does not need to undergo irradiation. We do not freeze dry the mangosteen fruit, we use a process called flash freezing. Freeze drying freezes a sample and then all of the water is taken off of the product with a vacuum until the product is a powder consistency. Flash freezing simply freezes a product at a rapid rate to preserve the nutrients. Flash freezing doesn't disturb any of the natural balances of water or water bound nutrients in a sample whereas freeze drying does.
Federal Law requires pasteurization, or a warning label of possible microbial contamination in products that are not pasteurized.  We do pasteurize our juice for this purpose. Extensive research shows that the processes of flash freezing and pasteurization do not affect xanthone content or efficacy.

I hope that all of this information can help give a clear picture of the quality of XanGo juice.  Please feel free to forward this on to anyone who you think might be interested. If you happen to have any questions or comments please feel free to contact me. Thank you.
