Challenge: Don't Just Work At Home...Retire At Home!

by Cynthia McKelvy Marketing / Traffic Generation

Many of us are at or near the age when we could retire. My husband, Will retired last year after 35+ years as an elementary school teacher in Northern California. However, he does substitute teaching on a regular basis. He enjoys having the choice to work or not to work.

I like that idea as well, but I want to take it to the next level. I really have a vision to retire at home, meaning a homebased business that will provide the income to fulfill God's plans and purpose for my life. Retiring at home? What would that look like for you? If your current annual income became your monthly income, how would that change your lifestyle? Would you give more to your favorite church or ministry? Would you travel more? I know what it will look like for me.

When I Retire At Home, besides praising God and shouting: RAH, Rah, Rah!
I see purchasing the property for our church to have the "Hide Away Inn" that Dr. Irene Huston wants to build. Another thing on the list is to have a business school where children and adults learn computer skills, Internet marketing, and entrepreneurship right along side of personal development and the Word of God!

Then comes the boat my husband wants to go deep sea fishing any time he wants, and the beach front property to go and hang out whenever we want. Of course we would travel more and live the life of our dreams, but more than anything, we would not be limited to give when ministry has a need.

This freedom is forthcoming, because I serve a God of more than enough. In spite of the strange economic times that surround us, God's people should position ourselves to dream big and be open to the move of God as He increases our borders.

When I Retire At Home it will be a RAH, Rah, Rah and a hallelujah good time, but I want that for others as well as for myself. That is why during this seasoon of my life, I am studying and positioning myself to win souls for Christ from the place where I reside: at the intersection where marketplace meets ministry!

May your New Year bring continued peace and prosperity as
you continue to do His Will for Your Life!
