Wading through a sea of spam!
|
|
Like many other members I have drastically limited my time on what was a once great network. APSense was a brilliant idea that that succumbed to "Spam Poisoning" This is no longer a network but an adboard.
I signed into day to see what was going on in my groups and it was a sad state of affairs that greeted me. 20 posts on the first page and only 5 of them could be termed posts. The rest are all ads, spams and get rich quick schemes. Part of the problem is the proliferation of spam groups that have been created. These groups were destined to become spam farms from the moment they were created. When you create a group inviting people to post business opportunities and ads, what do you expect? And are the group creators moderating their spams farms? I think not since the same spammy ads are appearing multiple times. Placed in each of the very fertile spam farm groups out there, several created by the same person. It's time to grow up and stop simple copy pasting garbage an a regular basis. After all everyone else except a very small handful are doing the exact same thing you are doing. Copy and pasting their own spam garbage and they are not interested in the garbage you posted since they are busy posting their own. Try a little good content on for size and you might see some numbers by you posts instead of that "0" If everything you are posting is sporting a "0" you are posting garbage. Sadly because of your constant spamming people are so offended by wading through the spam they will not even bother looking at the posts with good content 90% of the time. Look in the mirror. If there is a spam garbage poster looking back at you, it's time to make a change for the better don't you think? get protected before it happens to you |

| Since writing, are you still having as much annoyance with Spam in social networks?
I have had much the same problem and sometimes avoid some sites until I am ready to deal with sorting through 'junk posting.messages' and posts from people who are really 'interactive' on social sites. ApSense is not the only one that has this problem. Poverty is Not a Money Problem |

| It took me a while to figure it out too! When I first started out on the internet I cut cut and paste spam with the best of them. I just had to start learning from others and asking questions. Feel free to drop me a line any time you have a question, I'm happy to help.

| Thanks it seems very easy when you explain it. But to be honest with you sometimes the internet bussiness can some overwelming and confusing. Especially when there is so much misinformation. I am sincerely wanting to create a bussiness that is based on improving the quility of life for everyone that comes in contact with me; weither they buy from me or not.

| The thing people need to realize is the fact that posting ads is advertising, not networking. In Networking you get to know others. If all they have done is copy and paste you cannot possibly know anything about them except that they are first class spammers! When you start writing from your own perspective or even just about your life, you give people a glimpse into who you are. get protected before it happens to you |

| Great post. I do have to admit that when it comes to writing blogs or ads I do get writers block. Most of the time its because I don't have enough experence in writing. I don['t copy, and paste; unless someone sends me a really good email that I want to share with others(like inspritional thoughts or poems). But I understand what your saying. Sometimes people just put there website with no content at all. |
