For those of u who do not know-when I am not working diligently at trying to make a billion dollars for myself online--I am a manager at a McDonalds restaurant!! While it has many peeves--and even more peeves then that--My biggest peeves has nothing what so ever to do with the company--but rather the customers--And this particular peeve isn't just done at my store but it is done world wide--and I gotta tell u--It really makes me wish I could kick some butts---or at least the people who throws the butts!!!

| Well when it comes to rights, you can thank G.W. Bush & Co. for taking them ALL away. Smoking is just one thing that is being tossed out the door. There will come a day when we will not even be ALLOWED to speak our mind. This WILL happen I don't know when, but it will and they can carry me away kicking and screaming.

| This is a comment to BigRose. Be careful for what you are excited about, do you have any bad habits that people may say is not good? If they take away one right, they can take away others. It is a never ending downward slope. Now, about the second hand smoke...if I am smoking outside, how does my smoke affect you more than the fumes off of that diesel bus driving down the road?
When the government starts legislating personal freedom, it is no longer a democracy. I am going to make a quote which is not going to be written correctly (sorry, my memory isn't that good) but you will get the gist. And, the subject matter is different...but the essence fits. They came for the Catholics, but I did not complain because I am not Catholic. The came for the Jews, but I did not complain because I am not a Jew. They came for me, and there was no one left to stand up. |

| This is not about smokers themselves--this is about what smokers do after they get their nicotine fix--No--smokers are not rude for the most part--I ask smokers not to smoke in my home nor my car and they comply. smokers have every right to insert cancerous causing chemical into their bodies if they wish to treat tehmeselves that way. What I object to is having to take one of my employees away from directly serving our customer--and instead of paying for the emplyee to help our customers--we instead have to pay them to sweep up a lot that literally can gain thousands of cigarette butts literaly in a matter of hours!! In fact just today I personally witness a guy take his ashtray full of ashtrays and butt and litearlly just dumped it right outside of his window and onto the ground!!! 2 trash cubicles lesss then 10 feet from him--and he is not able to get out of the car to use them--after he just got out of the car to go into the restaurant and buy $30 dollars of food?? By the sway he also drop the straw wrappers onto the ground--and his accomplince on the other side not only did the same thing--but also dropped an empty dunkin donut coffee cup out her window. I was on my way to go ahve me a talk with these people--but he back out and drive off before I was able to open the doot that got me outside!! This is the type of madness I refer to!

| As a smoker myself I take offense at being called rude. I do not drop my butts on the ground or toss them out of car windows which annoys me no end also. And by the way just because you my think it is a filthy habit, it does not make us second class citizens to be treated with no rights at all. I personally do not smoke in my home and can understand not smoking in buildings or some other designated places such as entrances to hospitals buildings, school grounds etc outside I have every right to smoke and I wonder how long that law will stay on the books before it is challenged. And challenged it will be because the intent of that law is the total ban of smoking period.

| EXCELLENT BLOG!! I live in the state of Pennsylvania where the Gov.(thank God) has just passed a NO SMOKING ordinance. This INCLUDES public places and NOT just inside buildings. So any IDIOTS as described are subject to fines and REPEAT offenders could face a few days in JAIL in ADDITION to FINES!! I think smokers for the most part are RUDE and are NOT considerate of us with health problems and THEY make OUR health problems WORSE with THEIR 2nd hand smoke. I sure hope you do kick some BUTTS cigarettes and humans.
