An Appreciation Of Apsense Features! :)

 Most if you in my fine Apsense family have probably decided to slow down your pace during this season. I'll trust that it's because of something wonderful going on around you, and not the usual distractions and complaints that I will not bother to list here! :)

 For my own semi- hiatus, I have begun writing at Mylot again, as an attempt at a type of stimulating "Cross Pollination " of  the two networks.

 Mylot's worldwide community of nearly 135, 000 members, vs Apsense's 20,000 or so members provides me with an almost 80% chance of finding a good discussion going on that I can respond to, or I can start a discussion in either site, and have the option of sending the discussion over to where it's most likely to gain an audience.

 The differences between our fine Apsense and other sites are very important to note  and appreciate here:

1. The power to EDIT or DELETE- We Apsense members have this wonderful feature to use as we please! :)

 If we somehow manage to write an entire blog about "Cheese curls" or something on Apsense, while we are sleeping, we can at least EDIT or DELETE the offending post when we are awake.

 Unfortunately, "What happens on Mylot, Stays On Mylot " and if you are sleep- blogging and you just hit POST COMMENT before you wake up-- Your Mispelled, Crosseyed, Kooky Subject Comments will be there for all the world to see, forever!

2. Apsense  has many UNBORING Features such as- The Ability to drop in  Video, Audio and Podcasts! This is wonderful because your blogs can be really and truly customised to you ane your readers's tastes and preferences.

 I don't have to tell you how important this is for your Sanity's Sake...

 At MyLot, you can only feature media on your own personal profile, and can only share still images in your community posts. And please remember, you can't edit stuff easily, so watch it!

3. Apsense presents you with the ability to REPORT And DELETE Trolls and Spammers- The is a real BIGGIE, as far as I'm concerned...

 If I should get a comment from a someone that is off-topic or abusive, I can REPORT THEM and then DELETE them... Zip! Zap! Bye Bye, Sucker! :) BEFORE they can do much damage.

 At MyLot, you can report these characters, but it might take hours for admin to track down the offender, and since Mylot has a rating system, trolls and their cronies can conspire to drop your ratings way down before you are aware of it... This can be a real shock to your confidence.

 Now with all that "basic differences" stuff layed out, why am I again writing at Mylot?

  Because I feel that it's worth the effort to expend the energy and have another challenging place to explore my creativity and resourcefulness.

 Mylot has a raw, blank canvas, kind of feel to it. There are many good writers over there, but there are also many, many "Consumer " types who don't mind sharing the fact that they need stuff. This is excellent for us marketers who are also resourceful enough to understand that finding out what a person needs is half the battle for sales to occur.

  The wonderful power of Apsense meets the Raw energy of Mylot! You guys certainly are welcome to join me there, If you simply need a place to toss some ideas around or look for an audience.
