Apsense and You Via Google Search
|
![]() Today I did a Google search on my name and Apsense and all my Apsense blogs now come utter last on the page. I have about 10 pages of Google using my name Jeunelle Foster. It of course pulls up just about every place I network but for some reason Apsense is now pulling utter last in the Google Search. This for me sucks as I thought Apsense was suppose to give you/us a higher Google Search Engine Rank for our Apsense Blogs. What to do, what to do? Are any of you folks experiencing the same problem when you do a Google search? Are your Apsense Blog ranks now showing near the last few pages? Are you seeing your Apsense Blog ranks now showing higher up on the 1st page? What the heck are you seeing when you pull up a Google search of your Apsense User name? Here is what I'm talking about.... notice this is my last 10th-11th page in my Google search, featuring Apsense on the 10th page. Apsense use to be on my 1st page. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&q=jeunellefoster&start=100&sa=N http://www.JeunelleFoster.com http://www.socialnetworkersandbloggers.com Jeunelle's World |

| If ranking puts money in your pocket, be concerned about it.
Since site rankings vary according to which organisation you look at, don't stress yourself. Think of it in the terms of the traffic accident where a farm tractor demolished a Porsche. The Porsche driver was ranting on at the farmer about how his car had cost over $200,000 dollars and was now a total wreck. When the tirade was over, the farmer simply said "Aye. And if you had bought a $450,000 tractor like mine, you wouldn't have had a scratch!" The Old Coot |

| So, how do you really know what your ranking is? Exactly Beth, how do you know? A question I've asked but found no answer. Jeunelle's World |

| I hadn't known this had happened, Jeunelle. Reading all the comments, it's clear that seo and key words and all that makes a difference. Sometimes if you've searched for your own name and then apsense... they come up higher just because Google has you cookied! I am so tempted to go to the library just to google on what should be a free of me/cookies and google and Y!search etc... but even then after the first search the whole world/www knows what you want to see from that search! LOL So, how do you really know what your ranking is? Join FREE DM open in INDIA for IR |

| LOL....I have no idea what google or any other search engine might consider relevant in any field....What I do know if I was going to build a site about Wood Products, it would have damn good information about wood products, and if the search engines couldn't reckonize that information or content as DAMN GOOD they would be useless to me and could go to hell for all I care!

| Arthur sad but true. The problem with Google is we don't really know what they consider to be relevant as they constantly change the rules but I do build content and try to create backlinks as much as I can. Good advice Arthur, stay well. Jeunelle's World |

| Hi, Jeunelle,
If 1% of people searching the internet are (excuse me while I puke) Internet Marketers, that means 99% are ordinary people. If 30% of ordinary people are looking on the web for a solution to a problem, a solution that they would be happy to BUY, the only way you are going to get in front of them is if your web site has the key words they are searching for and enough unique content to keep a high profile in the search engines. My seven year NÂș1 site has only 15 key words (SEO says that is too many! LOL) and three pages of unique content generated seven years ago. I don't think anybody could generate different relevant content. Sadly, the site gets about twenty hits a day so, much as I would love to, I can't take it down - but ALL of those hits are generic searches. Don't knock Google (or any of the other search engines) but learn what they consider to be relevant in your field and build your basic site around that - then add as much content as you can find. | Lisa...Your American Idol page comes up in front...That is hilarious and it may be a good thing, bad thing, only you can tell. Sir Arthur....It's good to see and have you with us buddy. Yes you are right about Google when you said "Anybody searching for me by my name has to be a little sad, don't you think? If all they know about me is two words, why are they looking for me anyway?". EXACTLY I AGREE....do I really want these rejects to look for me anyways? I think not. Personally that whole Google issue is old and Google needs a swift kick in the arse, I find it useless to me period. ADSENSE is a JOKE and I have never met anyone who ever made lots of money from ADSENSE not even all the other folks I know, in the other 75 Social Networks I belong to. If all you are making from ADSENSE is a few bucks, you might as well get a life and keep your day job. I am happy to say that if you have a REAL PRODUCT & SERVICE that people really want, like my Eyeglass/Sunglass business, you will not see any REAL SALES or REAL MONEY. My Eyeglass/Sunglass business is picking up great and I am doing good with that alone, forget all this stupid Network Marketing Bull_hit but you all already know how I feel about it anyways. As for GOOGLE, Google and Google Adsense never did anything for me. Nice to hear from both of you. Jeunelle's World |

| As I recover from a nightmare week-end seeing that sassy bird, Jeunelle, back again was a great tonic.
Once again the grim reaper has rejected my potential contribution to his community after one hell of a fight - but, hey, if it takes pain - so be it. Google? There are so many Arthur Websters out there that Apsense doesn't show in the first 97 pages! Page one for the old coot, though! What does it matter? Anybody searching for me by my name has to be a little sad, don't you think? If all they know about me is two words, why are they looking for me anyway? One of my "good works" sites has ranked number 1 for over seven years now. I never advertise it. The url appears nowhere except in the pages of Google and the favourites lists of some of my clients. I have several other sites which have always been in the first five results. I suppose the gurus would say I have cornered a niche. That's true - but I don't think there is another person in the niche who has my success rate and, for a stone bonking certainty, we ALL wish the niche would go away! It is more important that people find you at all and I am absolutely 100% convinced that SEO and all that stuff is only a vernier tuner on the major control - CONTENT. The more unique content I put on all my sites, the more they seem to generate generic search results from the search engines. The Old Coot |
