Happy Independence Day! Tapping into your own courage

Happy Independence Day,

When I think about the words Independence Day, I think about the fact that many of us started our businesses looking for Independence.

Most us of wanted to get out of debt, have freedom to pursue our dreams, spend time with our children, or get out of dead end jobs. We stepped out on faith and with courage, and now we are closer to our goals.

So as our ancestors who built this country showed us, independence takes continual courage, unrelenting focus on the goal, and embracing those tasks which may be uncomfortable. For them discomfort included death!

We have to remember that people who tour our sites, and new members do not have muskets, canons or bayonets!! They will not shoot us when we call. LOL!!! ;-)

COURAGE IS THE WORD!
Here are some good quotes:

Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear.  ~Ambrose Redmoon

Courage is fear that has said its prayers.  ~Dorothy Bernard

I'm not funny.  What I am is brave.  ~Lucille Ball

So on this day I ask you and myself:
  • Have you tapped into your true potential, your true hero?
  • What would you be willing to die for?
  • How vigorously do you defend what you are not willing to do to change your life?
  • How many times do you look to others to make your community, job, schools or business better, while you sit back and wait?
  • Do we find it acceptable for others to do for us what we are not willing to do for ourselves?
  • Are you walking through life with a catcher's mitt on both hands, or are your throwing something back?- Maya Angelou.
  • What comfort zone do we need to break out of to make our business a success?
Let's be of courage and make our communities, our lives and our businesses better. Be the hero you need in your life!!!
