17th season of U.S. reality show“Survivor” shooting in CamSur is for the French version

It’s the foreigners in Camarines Sur that are talking; the Survivor series being shot right now in Gota Beach is for the French version of Survivor.

CamSur is becoming the destination du jour for the foreign and local tourists the past year. Una na rito ay ang world class water complex na ipinagawa ng Bicol Governor L-Ray Villafuerte sa kanyang fifty-hectares Villa El Ray that specializes in the extreme water sports wakeboarding.

In almost a year of operation, nagkuwento si Governor Villafuerte na nabawi na raw ang initial investment sa pagpapagawa ng CWC (Camsur Water Sports Complex) dahil dinagsa ito ng wakeboard enthusiasts around the world once the international magazine for wakeboarding Wake declared the place as “the best wakeboarding site.”

Hindi na nga bago para sa mga Bicolano na makakita ng napakaraming foreign tourists sa nasabing resort every day dahil a lot starts planning to stay at least a week but most stayed longer; may iba pa nga raw na nagtatagal ng six months continuous.

Kahit sa ibang lugar ng Bicol ngayon, may dumadagsa na ring mga turista, particularly ang mga beach sa yet developed Caramoan group of islands na sinasabing better than Boracay. Pagkatapos ngang mag Holy Week, naibalita namin dito sa PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) na may international TV crew spotted sa Gota Beach taping a Survivor episode.

Initially, it was thought to be the upcoming season of the U.S. version of Survivor but then no one is talking about this. Sa pakikipag-usap namin nang nasa El Rey kami, may strict order pala ang TV crew na nagsu-shoot sa Gota Beach na walang information na makalalabas specially from those limited few who knew of this, or else, ika-cancel daw ang buong show kahit marami nang nakunan.

Kaso, dahil sa dami na rin ng mga foreigners sa CWC, sila-sila ang nag-uusap tungkol sa sinu-shoot na Survivor sa Gota Beach and they are saying it is an episode for the Survivor France show titled Koh Lanta.

Wala pa ring makapag-confirm if indeed it’s from the French version of the reality show lalo na’t just recently, sa Palawan kinunan ang pinakahuling season ng Koh Lanta.

Ang sinasabi lang ng ibang foreigners talking about this, there are stars involved nga—”big Hollywood action stars”—so malamang na celebrity edition nga ito.

In an earlier report, nabanggit ang pangalan ng Belgian action star na si Jean Claude Van Damme as among those participating.

Incidentally, magkakaroon na rin ng Philippine edition ang Survivor na mapapanood soon sa GMA-7.
