Information Security Hall of Shame! |
![]() Six months into 2008 and 148 companies have had security breaches. As a result we are put at risk of becoming identity theft victims. It seems that businesses and other entities just never seem to learn so in their honor, I present the Information Security Hall of Shame! And the inaugral inductees are: University of (any state)- I'm not sure if there is an University of that has not had a breach. Many of them have had breaches at several campuses. Pfizer- They have breaches in house through third parties, hope they aren't testing their products on themselves US Government agencies- Busy enacting laws to make others protect information, not doing so hot at it them selves US Veteran's Administration- Serve your country, be all you can be then worry about who is being all you can be today TJ MAxx/TJX/Marshall's- If you are going to do it don't put in a half effort, be the biggest in history I suggest you take a minute to check out all of the "losers". If you've done business with them a smart idea would be to order your free credit report now and make sure there aren't any surprises on it. If you've got surprises you've more than likely got trouble. get protected before it happens to you |
