The Power of Affiliate Marketing

There’s no doubt that making money with affiliate programs is probably one of the basis aspects of making money online there is. Though it’s not always a bowl of cherries for everybody, primarily those who go in not knowing what to do, it’s probably one of the best and cheapest ways in the world to make money period.

The sheer fact that there’s no overhead, you can start very inexpensively - if not free - and that you can be up and running within hour is an amazing thing. Affiliate marketing everyday people - from high school kids to retiree, and everything in between - very wealthy within a relatively short time frame.

Let me explain exactly what an affiliate is. Very simply, when you’re for a product, you’ve been given the right to promote that product for a commission - piece of the action.

So let’s suppose that you’re promoting and eBook on having a wedding on a tight budget. And the product cost $40.00. Hopefully, you’ll be getting at least 50% commission (that is usually minimum) each time you make a sale. You’ll make a quick $20 each time someone buys through your link.

How do they know you’re one who sent the customer their way?

You’ll be assigned you own affiliate link (a special code in the URL) for you to promote. It’s really very simple, and all of the backstage stuff happens without you having to do a thing. You drive traffic to their landing page via your ling, they convert the sale, and you get paid.

Though in theory it sounds very simple, there is a bit to learn when it comes to affiliate marketing and you’re not just going to be able to jump right in without doing some homework first.

Don’t Make the Usual Affiliate Marketing Mistake

Be careful!

Most people will tell you to go about affiliate marketing backwards. They’ll tell you to go to one of the affiliate market managers suck as ClickBank and pick out a good product to promote.

They tell you to pick something that you’re interested in. However, what they don’t tell you is the key component that constitutes a good product. I’m going to tell you right now.

Choose a product that there is a market for. Plain and simple. I would advise that before you even go and find an affiliate product, you should first find out what it is that people are searching for, and then go find a product to match that need, filling it by promoting through your link.

There’s no easier way than to feed a hungry crowd. Find keywords that people are looking for. This way, you don’t have to come out of the gate, hoping that people will want to buy the product you’re promoting.

You can just put it in front of them and a certain amount of those people should buy assuming that you choose the right product.

Hi TZ,
This post goes hand in hand with a few of the AM articles I have posted here. As for researching the product to promote, I have a step by step manual on HOW to do the research to find the products that sell and those that don't. You can read about the ebook (and even purchase it through the link below.
(And YES I do offer an affiliate program for all of my products!) Everyone starts out at 50% and as they make more sales, the rate increases to a max of 70%
