You Should Make It Easy To Buy From Your Site

Convincing your prospects to purchase from you is a hard job, but have you ever thought that you're making the process twice as difficult for both parties if your prospects are convinced but don't know how to buy from you? No matter how good you are at convincing your prospects, they won't buy if they find the process cumbersome.

First, you will want to check that people can find your order form easily and hassle-free. You can write a clear, concise paragraph to direct your prospects to your order form so that you can minimize the chances of them getting lost. You can also reduce the chances of losing prospects by putting a prominent link to your order page from every other page on your site.

Also, do you offer multiple payment options? Some people may feel comfortable paying via Paypal, some may only want to pay with their credit card and others might want to send a cheque. The more options you offer, the better your chances of covering your prospects' desired payment method. After all, it wouldn't make any sense to sell hard to a prospect only to find that they won't be able to pay you when they want to.

On the other hand, you will want to prove that you are a credible merchant. Is your order form secured using encryption technology? You would want to look into SSL for this. You can also offer a money back guarantee so that people will feel confident about buying from you. How about after sales support? Who do they contact when they have problems after purchasing?

Alternatively, you can add customer testimonials, your contact information, address, and so on to boost your prospects' confidence. Make them feel safe about buying something from you, a total stranger to them on the other end of the Internet.

As a conclusion, it would be very pitiful if you sold hard and sold well to a prospect and something goes wrong when he or she is ready to pay. Eliminate any chances of that to maximize your profits!

Now I am puzzled... I rechecked the link, and it works fine on this end. Thought I had checked it this morning..
I have encountered this before, and I still don't understand it.

Tell you what Arthur, I will try in the next few days to write a series of articles, (blogs) that cover what I know about your questions.

Thanks David,

Unfortunately it contained a bad link and went to Kim's 404 page.

Web sites - I have.
Hosting - I have.
Paypal - I have been using for over four years.
I even have acres of ebooks that are supposed to tell me how to do things but they always fall short.

How do I create a squeeze page?
How do I create a download page?
How do I make my downloads secure?
How do I make a squeeze page?
How do I use an auto responder? (I have three an a fourth one I pay for but yhave never learned how to use.)

These are basics and yet it seems to be assumed that all of us newbies are born with the necessary knowledge. It's quite a challenge trying to work it all out but I only have a few hours a day when I can see well enough to use my computer.

Hi Arthur,

I need to sit down and write a series of training articles on how to set up paypal accounts, Google adwords etc, but the time escapes me. For the next 2 months or so, my ofline job is running about 16 hours out of every 24, 6 days a week.

Basically I have learned what little I know from trial and error, but there are other sources too... I have learned a great deal at Beginners Marketing Class with the live one-on-one contact with Chuck Bartok, Odinn Sorenson, Robert Johnson, etc. One of these blogs of mine has the BMC Monkey Banner on it if you are interested in that resource...

Another source is all the freebies and PLR I have downloaded from various giveaways etc.

As to payment processing, paypal can walk you through the setup on their website after you open an acct. Although as a newbie I found it a little easy to get stuck at first.

As to other options, I have my main site hosted with Hostgator, Although Low-Cost-Webspace, or LCW has a little better pricing of 2.99 us a month! I have an account with LCW, I just haven't had time to get to building it. Hostgator has a built in shopping cart that you plug in to your site.

YOu will want an Auto Responder if you haven't already found one. I recommend Traffic Wave and will send you more info on that if you need it.

And of course webpage builders.... the list is getting pretty long isn't it?

Send me a list of what you need help with and I will send you some software, reports, personal tips, etc to help you get going. D

Hi, Mo,

I have been telling myself this ever since I started to look at internet marketing as an option - but where do you learn these aspects of web site creation?
