US Economy - Give me a BREAK!

I just have to rant and rave....

How are we, as Americans supposed to make ends meet?

For starters.... I have $10,000 worth of dental work that needs to be done (long story). Yes, we are some of the lucky ones that actually have dental insurance. But with the premiums that have to be met, I will be paying on the dental work until I die (oh and I'm only 44). I can't hardly chew food anymore its so bad.

Or how about gas prices? I quit a job I dearly loved because of the prices, and took a job I DON'T like, to save money. The only place in our budget I can cut to compensate for the gas price is my grocery budget. I have two teenage sons in the house, and our 26 year old son moved back in with us... so you can just imagine what my "normal" grocery bill is... I'm talking 5 - 6 gallons of milk A WEEK, etc.

The school thinks we are poor because my 13 year old won't make his lunch and take to school, so they think we have no money (which is not really too far from the truth).

God forbid someone has a car payment... Let's not forget the bill collectors calling non-stop. I am not a dead beat. I have paid my bills on time for years. But lately, its just not happening.

My husband makes pretty decent money... but with the economy, its not enough. I work two jobs now and its still not enough.

WHEN is the US government going to give us a break?

I CANNOT continue to do this - Can you?

Let me hear your thoughts about the economy!

Oh, and thanks for listening!

Hey Lisa. You hit the note correctly on all that you have said. The economy is in shambles. it's crazy. I am originally from Jamaica and the same thing happened there. Long before my time the American Dollar and Jamaican dollar was almost the same value. Now one US Dollar is equaled to about $74.

I see the US heading in the same situation as we import too much and are not making anything. We depend too much on foreign goods. if the American industry had stuck with making electric cars years ago, then gas vehicles may have been a thing of the past, but greed has caused all this, plus the "war". Billions are being sent overseas, but billions are not being spent here to fix us.

Anyways, Lisa you hang in there all will be well, i hope very soon.

You have a great day.
