Favorite Books

Hatchet(Gary Paulsen) -

This was by far my favorite author growing up.  I love Hatchet and I love a lot of his other books.  I love Hatchet because it illustrates the struggles of ordinary life which Brian had before his unfortunate plane crash.  But it also shows how much harder life would be if you had to work to survive, and to appreciate your life in the "real" world.  For some reason, I like books that have a subject of survival.  I just really get immersed in them.  Often times I imagine myself out there, trying to survive.  I honestly don't think I could be able to do it.

Island of the Blue Dolphins (Scott O'Dell) -

Much like Hatchet, this book shows the trials of being on your own and struggling to survive.  It is always interesting to watch the main character and what she comes up with to survive.  With none of the comforts of modern life, it was definitely not an easy way of living.  It really makes me appreciate the simple comforts of life.

Julie of the Wolves (Jean George) -

Also another survival story about a young eskimo girl trying to survive in the bitter cold of the Arctic’s. Julie runs away from her home in search of her father who had left her in the care of foster parents.  During her journey, she befriends a pack of wolves and survives along side them until she returns home.

Castle in the Attic (Elizabeth Winthrop) -

This was a fun story that brought the mid-evil times to life for a young boy like myself.  My imagination ran wild along with the main character of this book.  This book reminds me of another book I once read - The Indian in the CupboardBoth wonderful tales of preteen boys who find a wonderful surprise when their toys turn in to real people.

You have spent hours on doing research, typing and completed a Book.
Now what? if you have plan to sell and distribute your book over distance to millions of people ,then Publishers should try e book website as e-Book would dramatically reduce production and distribution costs.

It would be great to discuss the importance and benefits of having an eBook website and how the eBook will be received in near future.

I hate to say it but Green Eggs and Ham is a perennial favorite in my family. Doctor Suess had a catchy way with words that actually stuck with you. Children love the rhyming short sentences and it's easy to memorize. My daughter used to actually recite along when I read it too her at night. And simple and childish as those Suess books are each has a message about life important not only for children but adults alike.
