My name is dennis and i started my own little e-business around 3 months ago. At first my traffic to the site was nill, but now i have a nice steady stream of new and returning members. I managed this through a ton of advertising all across the web on every free site i could find. Everyone asks me what my motivation was or what my site really is. Well, my motivation was simple. I wanted to make money. That is, i used to sell items on ebay, but at the end of everymonth all of my money was going to ebay! It seemed like it didn't matter how much i sold, by the time i got done paying for all of their listing fees plus a percentage of the final sales price, plus relisting items that don't sell, i ended up with nothing most of the time. Finally i decided that i could do it better and so i started thebuynsell.com. That brings me to the second question i get asked, what exactly is it. Well, its just as i said. It is an ebay style site. We allow our members to list items for sale or shop around for items to buy. The big difference is that we make it affordable for people to do so. So far it has been challenging, but it has been fun as well. I know that someday i will be buying my advertising, but in the mean time you would be surprised how much traffic you can generate just by doing a little dedicated surfing.
