how will u act first for building self confidence

for self confidence, u should be smarter but hardwork is equally important. Working smarter only will be like polishing your nails to hide the dirt. But smartness along with sincerity and diligence will give you chance to show your clean nails even without the polish at the time of showing your simple clean hands. isnt that so?
