Too Busy?

Sorry, I have to keep this short.  I'm busy internet marketing.  I'm posting everywhere I can ... sorry don't have time to answer your emails ... sorry, I can't talk I'm busy.  Hurry, hurry, hurry get my sites optimised for the search engines ... rush, rush, rush ... free advertising??? Great!  Okay ... not NOW telephone ... I'm busy ... I'm marketing.  I said I can't talk now ... I'm BUSY!!

Well, maybe this is an exaggeration, but a lot of people are so busy marketing that they have forgotten who actually buys their products and services.  Real people, who respond to real people.

Perhaps, if you feel like you do nothing but market, and you are not getting the results you want, it's time to rethink your situation.

Keeping in touch with people, caring about their needs, being a helpful and friendly mentor, genuinely being a friend!  These things are much more fun and rewarding than fighting for traffic, and people will naturally come to you if you are warm, approachable and your product or service is a good one.  So take some time out to be human, and you will most likely find your results improve.

I'm lucky that most of my customers were friends first. I still keep in contact with them and check in just to say hi how you doing?
get protected before it happens to you

Thanks Tina, that is so true about what we'll look back on and remember!

My friend Wendy, from one of the most open and sharing people I've met on Apsense, that's a compliment indeed.

Penny

So much truth and words of wisdom in your post.

We all get super busy but ............

Have to stop and decide what we are doing How to improve what we are doing

Myself if I don;t set a schedule I up the creek without a paddle.

Although I find I have to force myself to stick to it

Thank you Penny,

At the end of our lives I am sure we will all remember the truly " human times " not the marketing we have done.

Thank you for sharing " perspective " .. thank you for your leadership.

Have to admit to having done this on occasion, but trying to spend more
time communicating now. It's certainly more fun.
Good comment Penny, thanks!

Lisa and Fishie, thanks for dropping by : )

Lisa, I'm still very disorganised when it comes to schedules. I wish I could be more disciplined!

Fishie, absolutely! Here you can type the word "ebook" without getting offered 5,000 of them. I love it too.

Wonderful article Penny.

It is so nice to see a community or group of "business" people getting together without trying to SELL one another, but to simply learn, share, and enjoy each others opinions.
