Making The Most Of Our Blogs Here At APSense

Here at APSense we have the opportunity to reach 1000's with our blog entries. I see blogs of all sorts from business to personal. They all are trying to get the word out about something they feel is important.
All blogs however, will start to lose their momentum and find their way to our blog archives. Sometimes later they are returned to life when a member finds it, reads it and comments on it. So it is important to maintain your blogs. Here are someways that may help with your blogging: 1) It always helps to start with a blog topic that you are interested in. 2) Be sure to reply to comments. It is important to let others know that you are interested in their feedback. Why would you start a blog without expecting feedback? Of course the classifieds are different, we really can't expect replies to an advertisement. Unless we have really done a great job with the presentation. 3) Some blogs are used by members to express themselves through poetry or humor. I enjoy reading these. Though I don't always comment, unless they really have touched me in someway. But, if members take the time to comment, we should take the time to respond. 4) Hmmmm...there seems to be a common thread here....interest and comments....There must be interest is what we blog about and interest in feedback. And let members know that we appreciate the time they took to leave a comment. It always seems to boil down to the little things we say and do :) 5) Don't be discouraged if your blog doesn't get responses. Sometimes it just gets lost in the wave of new blogs. You can always repost it at a later date. It isn't a good idea to just keep reposting it, as this would look unprofessional and some may even consider it the "S" word. And nobody wants their work associated with the "S" word. 6) Sometimes it doesn't matter what we do, one of our blogs just doesn't seem to be working. The key word in the last sentence was "one". We have the opportunity to write unlimited blogs here at APSense. So try not to let the minor setbacks get to you. 7) Don't take it personal when someone disagrees with you. As this will happen from time to time. It is okay. Sometimes this can even spark a healthy debate :) 8) You also will occassionally have to deal with the trouble makers (flamers). Just ignore these members, most other members do..lol. They are just here to "stir the pot". If a comment is truely offensive, you always have the option of deleting it. 9) Have fun with your blogging. APSense has offered all of us a very big window of opportunity for our blogs to be seen here and also picked up on google and several bookmark sites. So let's all get out there show others what we have :) Lynn If this blog looks familiar to a few of you, its because it is a repeat of yesterdays. Like that background! Will have to work out the code for it later. My best effort is having a background colour for certain paragraphs! :-) Like your article - yes you should write about something you're interested in - even better if you're passionate about it.
