Are You Getting Readers To Your Blogs & Groups?

by Jean DAndrea Retired
Isn't is sad that many excellent blogs and groups don't get read?

I know that many of us have limited time online, and there are literally hundreds of blogs and groups available.   It's hard to keep up with one's own pages, without reading everyone elses, but spare a thought for those who do their best to write interesting content and never seem to get a hit.   (I'm not talking about me here - I get a few hits! )

If you see a new group or blog listed in Apsense Express, or "What My Friends Are Doing" (especially this one - they're your online friends, after all), why not check it out, and even make a comment.  You'll make the owner very happy, I'm sure.

You may not agree with what is being said, but polite discussion is fine, and adds to the content.   There are some great discussions going on in some of the groups around here, but in others, there is no action at all!

Oh yes, when you do post to someone's blog or group, make sure it's relevant, and not a blatant ad for your own program.    If you want to advertise, then use the TE's, or start your own blog or group!    It's easy and it will earn you points.    Good content rules!

What? No-one has any comments on this? I thought for sure some of you would have had views on it, especially those who, like me, seem to write for an audience of one or two! :-(

Perhaps I'd better lift my act, and improve my writing skills, and find some topics that some of you are interested in!

Bet if I started a blog called "How to be a millionaire in one easy lesson" it'd be popular. Well, I don't know how to do that, so sorry, I'm not going to write it. If I did know, then I'd be away doing it, that's for sure. I'd love to make my fortune online.........

Hi Joe,
Thanks for dropping by. Don't worry, I'll certainly keep up with the writing and trying to get readers!
Was thinking about it this morning, and decided to keep on adding blogs and groups until I found one that did get readers, The others can always be cancelled due to lack of interest! :-) Plenty of topics out there, that's for sure.

Hi Joe,
Certainly do! I've changed the sig file a little, but can't get what I really
want, because of the limitation on characters. Will play a little more, and
see what I can come up with.

Hi Lynn,
Thanks for your comment - I do like to move around and read other's opinions on lots of things. As a retiree, it's great to keep my mind active, and how better than to communicate with people online? Besides, when I'm in the mood, you can't shut me up! :-)

Take care

Hi Jean,
I just posted a blog describing how you can get over 3465 backlinks to your sites along with picking up 200 PLR articles to get you started. We all know that one way links from a site that has a higher PR than ours can only help our site! The links in this offer are from33 different PR (page rank by Google) 3, 4 and 5 blogs.
The blog title is "How do I create so many Blogs so Fast" and I am giving away one of my biggest money making secrets in this post! Hope it will help some of the newer folks here.
One thing, before you even check it out, let me tell you, it will take WORK on your part! You will have to edit the articles or write your own and add your links to anything you are promoting!
Let's get our Apsense pages out there in front of folks! I know I am!

Hi Joe,

No I haven't read the Ayn Rand book you recommend. I'll keep an eye out for it the next time I go to the library. It seemed to be well received in the books group.

So many books, so little time.......... :-)

Hi MKWeb,

That's not your name ! :-)

I'll certainly check out your site - Have written a few short articles and submitted them to
some article directories recently. Still waiting to hear if the last one has been accepted.
Hopefully it will be.

Am trying to get my Apsense link out there, but as we all know, recruitment isn't as easy
as some would try to make you believe.

Thanks for stopping by, June. It is hard to get started sometimes.
Yesterday I deleted a group I'd started - I was still the only member,
so decided to find something better to write about!
When you start a group, I'll be sure to visit. :-)

Hi Jean,
I am getting a few folks round to my posts. My name is Mark, but most all my sites and programs are under MKWeb (It stands for My King's Web and is also the name my corporation is formed under) and I have worked hard at making that my Brand (You can read about Branding yourself on 2getsales.com).
I have a few IM friends down your way. You wouldn't happen to know Eric White by chance? I know Melbourne is a large city and the chances are slim, but I have found that most marketers seem to run into each other , either online or at functions about marketing. That is how I have met most of the ones I know.
Remember, anything that is worthwhile takes time and (sometimes hard) work, if it was easy, we would all be sitting by the pool sipping Margaritas!

Hi Mark/MKW,

Yes, branding oneself and becoming known certainly takes time, and effort.
Internet marketing is fascinating, frustrating, infuriating, and many other things -
that's why I keep trying I think - there's always something to do and learn.

I have heard of Eric White, but haven't met him. Don't actually go along to
marketing functions - not yet anyway. Have been to a few affiliate
marketing lectures, which were interesting though.

Will be working at the branding and advertising for a while yet - still a
long way to go to become a household name! :-)

Have just re-read Mark's post, and decided that today, I'd rather be sitting
in the shade of a tree by a pool, sipping an icy cold gin squash........ not
sitting her at the PC writing posts, articles, surfing, and all that fun stuff!

Don't you all sometimes wish you could take just one day, just for you, and
do absolutely nothing? I know this doesn't have much to do with getting
readers to your blogs, but hey - we all need a little break from time to time.

After a break, you come back refreshed, and capable of writing much
better informational articles - you can even write about your break, and
how much you enjoyed it. Try it and see. :-)

Thanks to some of the tips in here, and a lot more time spent online,
I've been getting more readers to my blogs. Not a huge amount, but
some, and that's the point isn't it? To actually improve so that you do
get readers.

Visit others blogs and groups, post a comment, have your say, and soon
you'll find you're getting more readers too. Don't give up, because
if you do, then you'll never get there!
