Some of my favorite books.

 I love to lay out a blanket under my favorite tree and read a book. There is a silent, contented feeling that comes over me when I read a book. While most of my friends are busy watching MTV or Television. I have my nose in a book. Here are some of my favorite books. The Bible The Book of Psalms The Epic of Gilgamish The Pyramid Text The Teachings of Lord Kapila The Mahabharata The Divine Pymander Hermes Trismetigus The Solar Omens of Enuma Anu Enlil etc, etc, etc. While I would love to see some of my other friends join me and read books more often, they have another agenda. Video Games, MTV, Computers. There is a certain romantic feeling that is lost here and a lot of my friends are really missing out. I remember when my Grandmother, Mother, Father and all our Family Members use to just get together on Sunday and listen to the radio. I thought "THE WAR OF THE WORLDS" with Orson Wells was really happening. This program was really scary for me. You had to use your imagination. This was the best part of listening to the radio. You really had to use your mind or imagination. This program aired in 1938. I was not alive then but I caught a rerun of it. It was still as scary for my Grandmother as she was sharing it with me later in the 70's. I remember going into my bedroom and I started to pack like I was going to leave before the aliens came to invade. Ha, I am silently laughing now as I reminisce about this. One of my favorite Radio shows that I listen to presently is "A Prairie Home Companion" with Garrision Keillor out in Minnesota. He is hilarious. But again, there is a romance here, a moment of surprise and mystery. What can replace this? Well we presently have TV, XBOX Games and Computers. We now have an "ALL SEEING EYE" society. You can see samples of this society in the strategically placed Video Camera's in the Bank, Supermarket's, Post Office, Retail Store, Streets, Color Camera's the size of a dime. There is even a Huge Database somewhere in Europe called "THE BEAST". This Beast collects everyone in the planet's Social Security Numbers, Bank Accounts, Names, Addresses, Medical History, anything and everything that can be known about you. Ah yes, the eye of Seth is on the rise folks. How can we stop this rising evil? Well for starter's if none of you is using your imagination, you certainly can't create a way out now can you? The only people that can save the world from this growing evil is people like me that have destiny and were placed on this planet to fight evil by using our imagination. I challenge and encourage you all to join me and to start using yours. If any of you are raising children, encourage them to use theirs and surround them with tools like books or the radio that stirs the imagination. Turn off that blasted TV. That box is turning your children into zombies, coach potatoes and retarded vegetables. This Blog is for educational purposes and to help others. What are your favorite books and why? | Thanks Raj for you detailed explanation on Ebooks. I want you to know that..... I HATE EBOOKS. All this damn new technology and people are still as ignorant as ever. Just because something is new doesn't mean everyone will jump to it. I LOVE THE FEEL OF A BOOK IN MY HANDS. IT'S A ROMANTIC FEELING THAT YOU CANNOT GET FROM A DARN EBOOK. Besides, where would your glorious ebooks be today without books hmmmm? Most of the information an ebook has was copied from original text or books. Also I can sit on the toilet and read my book. That is kind of hard to do with a computer. I can sit under a tree and read my book also a book has no radiation but viewing a computer screen all day long gives off Electomagnetic Rays and gives headaches and other ailments. All that nonsense doesn't come with a simple book. Sometimes the simple things in life are the best. I have learned to be contented with less. Jeunelle's World |

I have Some of my favourite books are by a man who goes by the name of Harold Klemp, a living Sipriitual Master. You can find his books on Amazon.com Over the years he has written many that give spiritual guidance as they relate to modern society. To name several of them, "Wisdom of the Heart" and "How to Survive Spiritually in our Times" also 'How to Find God?" There's another one I can throughly recommend "The Art of Spiritual Dreaming" as well as the beautiful "Stranger by the River" - this one by his predecessor, Paul Twitchell. Betcha you thought I forgot..lol! Yes it's something else how the wicked have twisted things around in the past, and how they continue to these days, I do believe the message is still there though, always subject to different interpetations. In the end, it doesn't matter what was done in the past, the whole thing can be summed up with one of the commandments, "Love Thy Neighbor" If you truly love thy neighbor, how can you possibly do any wrong towards anyone ever? | Hello I'm back again Garnet The Rare Bible I was speaking of is called "The Complete Parallel Bible with the Apocryphal/Deuterocanonical Books". This is a New Revised Standard Version A Revised English Bible A New Amercian Bible and A New Jerusalem Bible. In other words, 4 different Translations. It is amazing to me to see one or two words are changed in some of the sentences of each of the 4 Translations. I was talking to Jennifer from Nomorehackers about this yesterday and she and I were discussing how, if just one word gets taken out or changed from the text alone, that can throw off the entire meaning of the original meaning of the Bible. I am sure that followers of Seth, Satan or the Devil himself, would take every opportunity to do just that, to simply confuse and Damn people who want to follow God's will. We can clearly see it with Kings who have written their own Version for their own Political gain. But God said he would take care of those himself, so I still read it and get some wisdom from it, even though I may not have the Complete Correct Version of the Word of God. Now I do not go to Church and I am not a Preacher, I am simply letting you know why I read this or these books and why I love them. After reading my Bible, I always receive a calming and peaceful effect. I cannot tell you, how many times this one book has made me become more calm, peaceful and content, instead of being a WARMONGER. That alone is another great reason why I love books.
