Ever Get That Scary 'I'm All Alone On The Internet" Feeling? What Do You Do To Get Rid Of 'The Creeps"?

 I'm a night owl by Nature, and although I have to adjust to daylight hours from time to time- it seems that I can't shake the nocturnal habit of solitude, quiet and being used to the lesser levels of activity that comes with my habit... However, when I work during the daylight hours, it seems so lonely online and I have gotten "The Creeps", even though I know that there are people posting blogs and ads... It's the weirdest sensation that I can think of- there are millions of people from around the World and from all time zones working or playing online 24-7 and yet, it's possible to feel "alone"? I usually will leave the computer, make a cup of coffee and go Outside... perhaps it's just my method of writing- I can be severely introspective, that's doing this... I'm not a blue or low energy type, either! I am vibrant and lively with a very good sense of humor, too! But sometimes, and maybe with good reasons, the Internet "creeps me out" for a few minutes- I recover quickly but I still curious... Does this ever happen to you? How do you feel and what measures do you take to get rid of "The Creeps" ? | I am in the habit of walking several miles each every day, Jenny....
I certainly recommend getting away from the computer, sometimes for days at a time... I will often use these 'slow down" periods at Apsense and MyLot for conferences with my Muse... Breaks are good for everyone! :) If you will notice the date of this blog-- Back in October... Apsense was going downhill as far as participation was going... This blog was intended as an invitation to anyone who felt like they were alone online at the time.. I'm PM'ing you my Mylot link, as you requested... Maybe you can "Lively" them up over there... | Hey Peaceful, I think we do get "discussion burnout" sometimes. There are some great people here, but that doesnt mean that you can sit here 24-7. It is good to go in and out of the place when you fell like it - that way it doesnt get dull. What is your link for MyLot - think i might join that as well! Just to have a change. I love it here and wont be going anywhere. But it is good to do other things - then it gives you more to talk about when you come back. ALONE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT WITH YOUR COMPUTER ON.......................Brrrrrrrr.
