Networking criteria |
|
Being a network marketer can be strange at times or maybe it was just me. I just had a conversation with a woman from another Country and to me it ended a bit strangely. It could be the tactic she uses who knows. Now I know there is a unwritten law that you shouldn't start promoting your business right away. But this con- versation started out by her saying, she would like to discuss my business, so it wasn't like we didn't understand why we were communicating. I know it's hard for people to "not" start talking business right away, it was for me when I started relationship marketing online. With all the "crap" certain individuals have done to others in the name of marketing online, it's a wonder you can get anyone to trust you. What I thought was strange was the fact that we both new from the beginning that this was a networking adventure. She asked a lot of questions and gave no answers, I suppose I didn't really answer her fully either, because of the way she went about it. Now, I have never heard that if you are asked straight out, what you do or what business you are involved in that you should not answer. Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong, she was a very pleasant girl, but she wouldn't tell me what she was involved with, just that she was coming to L.A. for a con- vention and if I was available on Monday at a certain time. I would like to know how you promote a mystery business and why you wouldn't reveal it's origin if asked. Am I naive, or is this just another of those individuals playing there games. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. It really has not intrigued me, just made me not want to even check it out. Candice Hampton |

| I personally feel that anyone who is in a business they believe in will not hesitate to give you a straight answer when asked. The only time I have run across the mystery business is when the person doing the pitch got stuck and is looking to stick someone else. I love and believe in what I do. I don't have all the answers and I'm up front about that. It's very easy to say if you want to see how it works Watch this DVD, visit my website etc. The thing is I don't leave anyone in the dark. I welcome the light of day. Bring it on! get protected before it happens to you |

| Personally, I feel offended when someone expects me to take the time to meet them, yet they won't take the time to tell you what for. I feel like they are insulting my intelligence too.
It takes a lot of rearranging your schedule, family..etc. It's just a matter of mutual respect too. This would also make me suspicious, as if they are trying to hide something. Perhaps they think a high pressure sales pitch will get you to say yes, if you are there physcially and put on the spot. Also, Coach Teo has a great point. We all have to be careful too. BIG Crumbs |

| Hi Candice, This reminds me of those Pyramid Schemes that were big in the early 80's. Would-be sponsors never told you the whole story, rather tried to use the old carrot on a stick method. They asked a lot of questions about what you did so that if and when you showed up, they'd be ready to put down whatever you did--job, business, whatever. Of course, they weren't about to give you the whole story so you could be prepared for their hard sale tactics to buy some kind of kit that would of course make you a millionaire. | Since I'm involved in networking, I was contacted few times by phone for a "business proposal" by so called princesses and other kind of "exotic" girls and boys who insist to convince you doing business with them by offering large amounts of money or by inviting you in different places that - in my opinion - can be dangerous specially for girls and women, but not only. I'm not afraid to talk about it, also I'm not a negativist, but you may hear about the crimes happening with some girls on the Myspace. My advice is to all, to be very careful with showing and telling on the net everything you know and have. Teodor Rotradex.com |

| Thank you Robert and Jenny, that was pretty much my thinking in
the situation also. Why wouldn't you want to explain your business if asked. It just seemed weird and I appreciate your input. Candy Candice Hampton |

| Hi Candice I'll go with Robert on this one. If someone doesnt want to tell you what they want to sell you before you meet - it is a very unprofessional sales strategy - if not unethical. If they cant waste their time telling you, why should you waste your time meeting them. Jenny For Angel Lovers Earn $$s |

| Hi Candice,
I wouldn't bother checking it out either it's a way of promoting that i feel is unethical. I know things like this are done by reps of a few companies that i won't mention the names of. It doesn't make sense to me. Robert Stop By Robert Coaster's Place: robertcoaster.ws |
