They call me Ellie Mae
by Cindy Bolley HHCTB? I have always loved animals.Didn't matter what kind of a critter it was,
I loved it!
When I was a little girl we had cats.
Of course they were outside cats.
No matter how much I begged they remained.
outside cats.
My Mother told me when I had a house of of own
I could have as many cats as I wanted.
Well guess what !!! I have a house of my own.
And I have LOTS of cats.
I have all shapes, colors and sizes.
I got some when they were old and some
when they were just born.
But the one thing they all had in common
was no body wanted them.
This is the start of a blog about my critters.
I not only have cats but I have dogs also.
They like the cats all have the same thing in common
No one wanted them.
So I have dogs and I have cats.
Did I mention I live by an exotic animal
breeder?
Through my caring for all my critters I have
remodeled every Vets office in the county I live in.
I have now settled on a really nice one, Dr. DeLand
right in the same small town I live in.
He built a brand new office a year or so ago.
I know one of the rooms was named after me.
I have a wonderful relationship with a Wildlife
Rehabilatator, Betty King. Betty is know all over the State of
Michigan for her work with wildlife. My association with Betty
came about because when you have cats you get lots of
treasures that they like to bring home to show you.
I hope you will enjoy the stories I will be sharing with you.
Till next time,
Cindy

Thanks Jamen, I will check into it. Our critters are our children. The differnece between Critters and children is that one day your children will grow up and leave the house. Cindy Jul 3rd 2007 05:23 |

Ellie Mae... I mean Cindy... I am so looking forward to reading your critter stories. You remind me so much of my little sister - she was more of a dog kid, although she certainly loved her kittys too. As a very little girl, about 6 years old, she used to round up all the stray dogs in town. She'd bring them home and "hide" them in our garage. My mother would go out to get something from the freezer, and find Barbie there with a dozen or more strays. She'd call the dog catcher who would come round them up... a day or two later, she'd have a new crew. Mom used to worry, but always was amazed how she could have the meanest strays in town licking the tears off her face whenever she got caught. LOL. She also would tell her that when she grew up and had her own house she could have as many dogs as she wants. She lives out in the country and has too many to count - in addition to cats, bunnies, goats, sheep, pigs, horses, lamas... Karen Jul 3rd 2007 11:11 |

I don't even know your sister and I love her. I can just see her hiding dogs in the garage. I have done that with tiger grey cats, I picked up one and just added him to the collection and my husband didn't realize for weeks that we had a new cat. Cindy Jul 3rd 2007 11:46 |

Hi Cindy, We have a lot in common! I was never able to have cats as a kid because too many people in my family had allergies! But now that I'm all grown up I can! I love them! I work at home and am lucky enough to be able to spend lots of time with them. In fact one of them sleeps on the desk right next to me while I work most of the day. LOVE IT! Looking forward to reading your stories. Here's a new site I found that you might like too. http://www.the-cat-corral.com Later! Paula Jul 12th 2007 07:43 |
Cindy,
Have you heard of the audio book "The Cat Who Wanted to Go Home"? It's a cute children's book by Jill Tomlinson. I thought you might be interested in it (especially if you have children or plan to one day):
