Act Now! Limited Time Offer... I Call Your Bluff!

by Karen Weir Local Internet Advertising Consultant
I am a pretty easy going person, but there are some things that irritiate me. When marketers use these ploys designed to make people act in haste, I get irritated. Maybe I fell for too many of them myself, but "fear of loss" is one marketing strategy that I dislike.

As a student of The Science of Getting Rich, I know that there is never a time limit. There is no need to act in haste out of fear that opportunity will be lost. And in my business, I prefer that people who join me do so with excitement, and not in fear.

I understand the fear of loss strategy, and that it is not always a bad thing. Sometimes skeptical people need a bit of a push to make a decision. We can rationalize that it is for their own good, but in truth, it is not our place to judge what is for the good of others.

See my article on Competition v Creativity for more on this subject.

Hi Karen,
I agree that the fear of loss strategy is wrong! People will join in when they are absolutely comfortable with the notion of being involved with something they do not fully understand or comprehend.
How does one come around to understanding and comprehending an opportunity, by the simple of process of researching quantities of opportunities, until they become so familiar with the many different types of opportunities, that they will slowly but surely, begin to qualify which type of opportunity they may want tobe involved with. Maybe some people may never become involved, so what! they will at least be well informed and educated about the many opportunities that are out there.
Yours sincerely,
John Madafferi
