Affiliate programs?

How do you know what will be a good affiliate program or product,since there are millions of them.I am very new to all of this internet stuff and came acroos a article on making money with affiliate programs,such as click bank,when I went to the click bank site it has millions of products how do you know which one will be a great seller? There has to be a way to know how to pick a product that will bring you profit from it.I am doing alot of research and joining alot of groups on apsense and other groups like clubmom and wahm places like that and doing my research on forums and just sitting back and seeing what everyone has to say about the different products and feedback would be very helpful and Thank you in advance.
