I'm back

Hi everyone, I'm back, from beautiful Sequim, WA, where our son just got married in a beautiful traditional outdoor wedding at John Wayne Marina, on Sequim Bay. It was a wonderful day, up on a grassy point overlooking the bay. It was a gorgeous, sunny day, with just enough of a breeze to keep us from cooking in our suits and long dresses. A few of us (yours truly, included) could have been a little smarter and should have used sunscreen! (A bald head is like a sunburn magnet!) For anyone who lives in Washington State, but has never been to Sequim, it's well worth the trip! We live on the south coast of British Columbia, Canada, and it's only a 6 hour trip, including one ferry from where we live, and one from Keystone, WA to Port Townsend, WA, a spectacular location on the way to Sequim. One of the amazing facts about Sequim is that although it's right on the coast in northwestern Washington, it only gets about 16 inches of rain per year and the temperature is mild year round. Pilots call the area the Big Blue Hole, as it can be clouded over and raining everywhere else, but as they fly over Sequim, it's clear and sunny! Things are still busy here at home, but I look forward to getting back into the swing of things on Apsense. What a great community! God bless, Dave Dave Cottrell BusyBeeSafelist |
