Tips to dress up formally in summerby mohit Pathak Zobello
Summers are all about unforgiving heat leading to a lot of sweat and discomfort. It's certainly not be the ideal weather for wearing suits or layers of any kind for men, but certain occasions demand men to dress up formally. You cannot wear something casual to a formal event no matter how hot the weather is. You need to dress smart and manage the look you want for the occasion, balancing both is important. We have summarised some of the most important tips to dress formal this summer! Keep in mind, boys!
> Experiment with colours this summer! It's the right time of the year to mix and match. Blue is the new black. Greens and oranges can always be incorporated in your summer formal look with chinos and coats. Don't hold back, go out there and it's time to experiment all the shades that you have always wanted!
> You can opt for wingtips that are a classic formalwear staple. You do not have to go for the typical black boring pair! Shades of brown are in! You can opt for a pair of textured brown wingtips to go with your summer formal outfit.
> Have you ever given a thought about teaming up your summer formal look with prints? It can never go wrong if you wear it right! Prints are used to create visual interest in an otherwise conservative look. Uber formals should go with prints that are small and subtle. Remember, the less formal, the bolder you can go!
> A dapper look dies the minute there's a mismatch happening quite obviously. Mismatched accessories are a big no! It’s important to make sure that a silver watch, cufflinks and tie clip should be of the same shade (silver). If you want to add more color, you can try a combination of blue and silver, or orange and gold.
> Twills are in! Yes, you heard it right. Suits aren’t cheap, and it's wise to invest in suits that can be worn during summer and autumn. Twill is a medium-weight fabric that's light in warmer weather, and warm on a cool breezy night. Twills looks great in colours that transition, shades of brown, grey or olive.
> Say no to layers in summer. There's no point having laters in your outfit during the summer heat. A simple formal wear is all you need. A two piece suit is your best bet. So, skip the unnecessary layers and stick to your basics.
> Make vests your best friend for formal wear during summer! If the temperature gets too warm, vests are the best option. For a dapper look, make sure that the best fits you well that buttons up. Loose fitting vests spoil the whole look of your outfit, be careful when you're choosing one.
