The Pitfalls of Computers and the Internet

by Michael Prizgint SEO

Technology in the 1980’s:

Do you remember the 80’s? Although, in comparison to today – the 80’s appeared to be somewhat primitive and funny – at least in terms of its technology and, not to mention the weird hairstyles. The 80’s was the age of the walkman – every music lover wanted one – it was the link between portability and music entertainment. Also, believe it or not, it was an age when personal computers first became commercially available – Known as the Amstrad CPC464 was one of the most popular – though only the most elite could afford them. It had an 8-bit processor – considered cutting edge at that time – it truly was something to be marveled about. However, the internet was something unheard of in the 80’s, and no one had any idea of how significant it would become, as such is the case today.

Technology today:

The internet as we see it has become a necessity, even though it shouldn’t be. One can think of the internet as a virtual world in which there exists no borders, no checks and balances, and criminals can thrive without fearing any sort of repercussion. In the end, with lack of cyberspace laws and the authorities’ inability to prosecute cyber criminals, we are left with little choices:

1.        We can give up using computers and internet all together.

2.       You can use data theft/leak prevention software such as those that can lock folders on desktop computers and those that can act as a USB Secure, preventing data leaks on portable drives.
