We all are consumers of goods and services in one way or the other. The moment we take birth on this earth we become consumers. We are entitled to seek relief under the consumer protection Act. Now-a-days, it has been seen that consumers are cheated and harassed in many ways. At times they are provided with inferior quality goods and at times with less quantity than actually demanded.  At other times, the customer is charged with excess price than otherwise fixed for the commodity. The traders and the manufacturers considers consumers as persons who are morons having good paying capacity. In this way, they try to deceive them in every possible ways.

Although there are certain laws which protect the interest of the consumers to some extent but these laws involves the filing of a civil suit which is very expensive and time consuming. It takes even years in final disposal of the case. So a need was felt that there should be a special act which would ensure speedy and simple access to justice for customers. So this led to an emergence of Online Consumer Cell. The Online forum provides a hassle free way to post complaints online. These forums prove to be very beneficial in protecting the interest of the consumers.

The online forum helps in promoting awareness among the consumers. The forum is a place wherein consumers do not have to hire a lawyer for registering a complaint against a service provider company. All that they need to have is the exact details of the issue. The remaining work is being done by the forum.
