Among others like; free housing, transport, medical care, security, access to public funds and a whole list of list entitlements. One such power center in India’s capital city is the Chief Minister. A constitutional position that entitles but equally carries responsibility and stature. Perhaps that’s why power is so attractive and appealing to the majority of people. 
 
Delhi government has sought rent amounting to Rs 85,000 from former Chief Minister and AAP chief, Arvind Kejriwal. His previous office entitlements cannot apply as the Chief Minister resigned from office. State housing has therefore been rescinded and withdrawn.

A week’s notice to reply PWD - Public Works Department through the Lieutenant Governor head of the present Delhi government contend his residency ceased on February 14 when he resigned from office. The former Chief Minister had sought extended residency in the Tilak Lane flat no C–II/23 which too ended. Therefore, has been asked to pay rent for the type VI flat in Lutyen’s Zone, Central Delhi. Public office housing in India is usually reserved for public civil servants and other designated positions according to Indian Government and Constitution.
 
Am Admi Party – Common Mans Party had ridden on a wave of discontent and disillusion with the previous Delhi governments and had promised exemplary and accountable administration. Promising new structure of accountability, clean and responsive government, corruption free government the AAP government lasted only 49 days in power due to friction with centers and levers of power or perhaps contrarian contradiction. The sad predicament of office is that in as much as it empowers it reveals the other side of human character. It’s more certain when making commitments to serve the public it should reflect in impeccable admirable and honourable behavior.
 
Benefits and entitlements of public office among others entail; access to government housing, grossly subsidized medical care, government funds and property while carrying out duty and obligations, security, publicity and high stature have become traps and tests of true character. As much they are entitlements they do come with responsibility and accountability.

AAP’s - accountability remains to be seen in light of an awakened communication from the PWD and Delhi government, centers of public entrust that it’s a party of the common man with due diligence, honesty and responsibility.
