FORE School awarded Best B School for promoting Industry - Academia Interface.

School of Management, Delhi was awarded the ‘BEST B-SCHOOL FOR
PROMOTING Industry - Academia Interface’ in
the National Education Excellence Awards 2015 organized by ASSOCHAM India,
recently. The award was given by the Hon’ble
State Minister of HRD, Prof. (Dr.) Ram Shankar Katheria, also the Chief Guest
for the occasion.
A
great deal of emphasis is given to ‘Industry-Interface’ at FORE
to familiarize the students with their future work place. Dr. Jitendra K. Das, Director, FORE, earlier
said, “At FORE, we are driven by industry & employers’ demand. Curriculum is upgraded
constantly in consultation with industry
leaders and the approach to shape up our students are such that, the recruiters
find them high on the fitment-quotient and they are better equipped for their
respective job roles.” Even the selection committee for
GD & PI at FORE, comprises of
one panelist from the corporate sector.
Continuous efforts by the premiere B school, to keep the curriculum industry relevant, has paid offwell as students of FORE are now a preferred lot for MNCs. Some of the names from the 100+ list of respectable organizations, which FORE can boast of, includes - HSBC, Bank of America, Michael Page International, Honeywell, Royal Bank of Scotland, Pitney Bowes, Deloitte, Thomas Cook, TNS Global, Accenture, Dun & Bradstreet, Dell, E&Y, Franklin Templeton, Google, HP and HCL. The average placement offers in the past 2 years has been INR 8 lacs PA (20% offers above 10 lacs) while the highest was INR 39.5 lacs PA.
The
ASSOCHAM Education Summit and National Excellence Award had eminent panelists
and jury from industry, academia and government and theme of the summit was”Importance
of Research in Higher Education. Dr. Amarendra

Chairman & Chancellor, NIMS University;
Shri Ravi Wig, Chairman, ASSOCHAM; Dr.

Babu, Vice Chancellor, Galgotia University;Mr. Ramshankar Singh, Chairman, ITM University were some of the
panelist.
Brainstorming sessions were
held on topics like Quality & Standard of research, Technology Transfer, Develop
research attitude in school level. Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director, IMS Ghaziabad;
Prof. Ramesh Kasetwar, Founder Trustee & CEO, Quality Plus; Dr. Madhumita,
Director, IFIM; Ms. Ashish Garg, Education Futurist, Founder and CEO- Discover Tomorrow;
Mr. Mohanlakhamraju, Vice Chairman, Great Lakes Institute; Mr. Karunn Kandoi,
President of International Business and Skill Development, Extramarks Education

The
nominated educational institutes were evaluated on the basis of their
innovation, scalability, their ability to overcome challenges
and positively contribute to the progress of their students.
