The Everest region is located in north eastern part of the country. Many trekkers fly to Lukla which is a shorter way to Everest base camp trek and some drive to Jiri for a longer trekking. Two days walk / trek from Lukla on this beautiful highland, takes you to the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park and the town of Namche Bazaar- the gateway of Everest base camp trek. There are many places in Everest region to explore such as Gokyo Lake, Cho la pass, Island Peak climbing or other peak climbing.
Physically, Everest base camp trek is hard because of high altitude. The entire Everest region is equipped with legendary climbers. Everst base camp trek is not beautiful and famous just because of Mt Everest but other numbers of beautiful mountain peaks over 6000 m, 7000 m , 8000 m are equally attractive. You can see closely the peaks such as Ama Dablam, Cho Oyu, Thamserku, Lobuche, Tawache, Chola Tse, Kantenga, Kongde, Island Peak, Pumori, Lhotse, Nuptse etc. Popularly known as trekking peaks such as Mera Peak, Island Peak and many tricky and exiting mountains passes such as Cho La Pass, Tashi Lapcha Pass, Amphu Lapcha pass, Mera La, etc make this region full with adventure and excitement.
