DMRC Recruitment: Chance For Being Part Of The Best And Largest Metro Network

by Sanjay Joshi SEO
From time to time, a number of projects are being undertaken by the government of the country and one of such endeavours was that of the Delhi metro rail. The management of the metro network was needed to be done and it was extremely important to let the affairs be managed by a separate and independent body for the smooth functioning of the system. So, it was decided that the management will be looked after by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. And then, it was decided that the DMRC recruitment would be done by the organisation itself.

Being related to infrastructure project, there was plenty of need for technical and managerial personnel and those who could handle the office work. Also, there was need for the maintenance of the metro coaches and metro tracks. The project of making the city of Delhi, accessible through metro trains, was started in 1995 by the government of India.

It has been long since the first metro train transport happened and in all these years, the metro network has extend to far off places in the suburbs of Delhi. With such an extensive network, it is obvious that there would be requirement of skilled as well as unskilled personnel to carry out the day to day affairs of the metro rail. To meet this end, a number of vacancies are being filled so that the DMRC recruitment is going on in full swing for a variety of posts. There are technical as well as non-technical posts which are being advertised and applications are being invited from the interested candidates from all parts of the country.

At the higher levels of the Delhi metro services, there is requirement of managing director who is also known as the chief executive officer, which is one of the highest positions needed to look after the implementation of the phase III of the metro rail project.

The recruitment drive for DMRC will go on in full pace with a number of vacancies coming up in the metro stations and in the management and maintenance of trains. Station controllers/train operators, junior engineers and fire inspectors are in the grade II posts for which the pay scale is somewhere around Rs. 20000 or more according to the qualifications. The non-technical staffs are also required to man the office jobs and this includes the customer relations, office assistants, account assistants, and finally the maintainers.

Each of these posts is advertised in hundreds and these are only the initial part of the recruitment drive for DMRC. In the coming days, there will be more requirements and hence, people should be prepared to grab the opportunities.

Being a part of the government and getting jobs with a good pay-scale is something that is dreamt by many people. it is not only their interest but sometimes becomes a desperation to pick up the jobs as they have many advantages. The DMRC recruitment is only the start, because the metro rail in Delhi is only in its infancy. Once the whole system becomes operational, then there will be much more than what people are presently looking at.
