What are the causes of Haemorrhoids?

Piles is one of the major diseases which has affected a broad population of the society. The main reason for this disease is caused by Haemorrhoids. The most common causes of Haemorrhoids are straining during a bowel movement, severe constipation, and acute or chronic diarrhoea.

Some other reasons for which piles cure are provided:

  • Sitting on the toilet for prolonged periods
  • Obesity
  • Pregnancy
  • Low-fiber diet
  • Rectal surgery
  • And spinal cord injury

Most doctors in Piles hospital say one of the major reasons for haemorrhoids is a low fiber diet, which may force an individual to sit for prolonged periods on the toilet to empty the bowels. This over straining during the bowel movements slow downs the flow of blood in and out of the anus. This will lead blood vessels to enlarge in the area which further leads to swelling. This will also increase the pressure in the blood vessels to enlarge that region. It is these swollen veins that are developed due to increased blood pressure in the lower rectum, and these are what are known as piles or haemorrhoids.

Similarly, pregnant women may suffer from haemorrhoids because their expanding uterus puts pressure on the veins in this area. Additionally, hormonal changes that occur in pregnant women might weaken their rectal and anal muscles leading to haemorrhoids.

Treatment for piles

In most of the cases, piles problem resolve on their own without the need for any piles cure treatment. These piles treatments can help significantly reduce the discomfort and itching that many patients experience. Most of the piles doctors recommend a good lifestyle to the people as treatment.

A good Diet – This piles problem can be caused by too much straining of the patient when doing bowel movements, which is the result of constipation. Hence a change in the diet of the patient can help keep the stools regular and soft. This requires eating fiber-rich foods, such as fruit and vegetables, or switching your cereal breakfast to bran.

Similarly, water is the best drink for curing piles recommended by most piles hospital doctors, and the patient may be advised to increase the amount of his/her water consumption. Some experts say too much caffeine is not good. So patients have to reduce their coffee consumption. To equalize this, patient can take fresh and good juices in their diet. This will also give them strength and keep their body free from heat.
