All You Need To Know About Carpet Tiles

by Georgia Carpet Industries
Carpet tiles are great for Do-It-Yourself installations!  They can be installed quickly and easily on your own time.  Even start the project without having to remove all of the furniture from your room.

Remember when purchasing carpet tile to purchase extra and keep in storage.  This way if anything is every spilled on the flooring or have a torn place, you can easily pull up that one tile and replace it without having to replace the entire flooring.   This makes repairs a breeze!

When you go out to shop for carpet tiles, you may want to consider whether you will need Commercial Carpet Tile or Residential Carpet Tile.  If your installation is a high traffic area in your home or business, Commercial Carpet Tiles would be the best option.  If for your home or low traffic areas, Residential Carpet Tile is an excellent choice.

Commercial Carpet Tiles are available in cut pile and level loop.  There is a wide variety of patterns and colors available.  Some commercial carpet tile styles are modular, which means they can be turned to create a custom pattern on your floor.  You can decide the look you want and install them accordingly.  Even mix and match colors and patterns to create your own environment.

The residential carpet tiles are usually thicker and more comfortable underfoot than commercial carpet tiles.  Some have attached padding and may include a peel and stick installation method.

The quality of your new carpet tiles can vary greatly depending on the density, the application, and the thickness.  These variables can significantly affect the cost of your new floor.

Recommended Tools needed to install your new carpet tile are a tape measure, carpet knife and a large straight edge, also carpet tile adhesive if needed.
