Does copy and paste work?

by Lawrence Tam

I guess it depends on what your doing.

EX: You have an ad that you really like and you post it on several forums and websites hoping to drive some traffic to yourself.

If your ad is not tailored to the group you posted, will the ad work? It might but won't be as effective. What would be really bad is to have spelling/grammar errors. What happens then is you have the same errors on all your posts. Do people then think your are a professional person by doing that? Looks like your cutting corners and not being genuine. People want to join leaders. People who cut corners and are generally only concerned with a sale.

If the whole objective is to only be seen, is that better than wanting to be heard? Just because someone sees an ad doesn't mean they want any of it. People will generally give you more time if it's for something directed at them. Most times you really shouldn't be describing every single detail to strangers. Most of that information will go right over their head.

Sometimes you just need to develop a good hook and then when they are friends you can wait for them to ask you "so what do you do?" Asking someone if they want a business is totally different if someone asks you what do you do. People have different mindsets when being sold to. No better feeling to respond to someone's question and they go "I want to do that too, can you help me?"
