Software To Keep Your Computer Secure

by Duane Chesney

There are many programs out there that are designed to protect your computer from unwanted parasites such as viruses, trojans, spyware, adware, etc.  Here are some spyware removal programs that are very good at what they do.

Anti Virus

The antivirus program that I like to use is Norton Internet Security.  This is a very good program that comes complete with a personal firewall, antivirus, intrusion prevention, spam blocking, and phishing protection.  Parental controls can be downloaded as a free add on from the Symantic website. You can set it up to receive automatic updates which is very useful in that you don't have to keep track of when you last updated the software.  It has done a very nice job at keeping my pc secure over the years.  I just updated to the latest version of Norton Internet Security bundled with Norton System Works  which does well at monitering you system health and correct common problems that occure over time by general PC use.

Antispyware

SpyZooka is the only anti-spyware program that offers a guarrentee to remove 100% of spyware, adware, and other harmful bugs from your computer.

Registry Repair

Often when your computer has be infected with a virus or spyware, your computer will have errors in its registry files which can make it run slow or crash.  There are many good programs on the market that will quickly and easily fix these registry problems and restore your pc to optimum performance.  Below are two I have found that work well.

Xp Repair Pro 2007  Highly recomended by independent testing sites and users as well. I use this one and it works very well.

RegistrySmart
