Began working with computers in 1970, days of the punch cards, ticker tape backups and huge enviromentally controlled rooms to protect the computer with a whole whopping 640KB of memory! Bought my first "personal" computer in 1980, using an 8 1/2 inch floppy disk for its medium, running MSDOS 1.0 and a 300 baud phone coupler modem to acces the online bulletin boards long before there was an internet. I have served as a beta tester for many major software companies in the past.
From all of this, I have gained a deep appreciation for the computers of today and the sophistication of the software available. However, I have not grown fond of the exorbiant prices being charged for so many of the software packages and how to eBooks.
