The idea behind Waterbridge (GWCs trademark) is to build a link between green sustainable projects and finance, watering the ethical investment-seed planted and later harvests the profit from this process, caring for the environment and creating income and business opportunities.

GWC is interested in supporting projects without exploiting indigenous people and their heritage land, leaving the ownership to those who always have lived on this land, and at the same time developing sustainable and professional projects where everyone involved will gain.

We are therefore participating in existing ethical forestry projects, and we have been and are invited by landowners and various tribes to develop joint-venture projects with them, as it will involve long-time sustainable benefits for all involved parties. Examples are developing national parks which can be totally isolated or used for other purposes as eco-tourism, bio farming, and ethical logging, caring for endangered species, infrastructure with health plans and various types of education, small businesses delivering products for the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industry, health- and beauty-industry, accessories and home decoration with more.

We also believe that the oldest parts of our forests should be closed and protected solely for the indigenous people and the animals that might live there, in a way that it can become part of the carbon business in order to facilitate funding of the other projects. It will also protect those living in these forests that never had contact with the civilized world, and we should respect this. Without interfering with nature, humans or animals, we can still use the trees and plants to absorb our CO2 and produce oxygen, as producing oxygen has not been highlighted enough in the environmental debate, not yet.

There are today good standards for forestry carbon projects, as defined by the REDD and REDD+ standards; they are developed precisely to make people and nature respect one another, working together. They do not contain all of the additional positive aspects that a project development can have, but they are needed in order to secure the investments in carbon credits that will finance all or part of the projects. By using the VCS, CCBA, SC and GCS accreditations, since every project needs a high standard to get investors in place for the project funding, the investors will then safely be able to purchase and sell these carbon credits from these projects over periods of 20 to 90 years.

Waterbridge is also involved in Renewable Energy Projects; they deliver VERs and VCUs under the same high qualified standards as with the forestry projects. These projects will as well give jobs both directly and indirectly in the region they are established, so they are beneficial for humans, the environment and they deliver very safe and sustainable carbon credits to the market. After a due diligence we will be able to offer carbon credits or CO2 offsets from the type of renewable energy project of interest, based on the purpose the client have for the purchase.

Verified carbon credit products are delivered via a third party trading account such as APX, CTX or MarkIT. A hard copy certificate can be sent to confirm purchase of your carbon product plus tracking codes and passwords in order for you to check and control your product via a third party registry and/or an accredited registry.
